A conservative state with a bunch of stupid people. Guess who got NC's electorates last election.

NC is not near as conservative as it was ten years ago. A huge influx.of people from out of state has changed.the.political landscape there.

marriage and civil union . are just words . just like the word donkey .
No, they aren't just words. They have specific meanings, and they are different from each other with legal, moral, philosophical and sociological differences.

sounds like Hitler is in the house .
Hitler? Friggin' Hitler?!? What's wrong with you? Hitler is about as relevant to this issue as is Mickey Mantle. Hitler?!?

you want your rights and nobody can take them away from you . BUT you want to take other peoples rights from them .
Incorrect.

That was my point. Parts of it are now snowbird and yankee hangouts. It's becoming about as southern as Florida.

One would think a constitutional issue would require a 2/3's majority vote....not 51 people telling 49 people how to live their lives....

Whats the requirement for a Federal change(amendment) to the constitution?...I "thought" it had to be a 2/3's? just asking...

OVM... the voters of North Carolina rejected same-sex marriage on a state ballot because it is a state issue. It is the North Carolina state constitution which is being admended, not the US constitution. Are you confusing state law with federal law?
