Sooo, I filled up in Ogden Utah.. ran around town for 22 miles...idled for about hour this morning and then headed to Colo..got into Rifle with an 1/8th of a tank of gas left and having driven 400.6 miles and 25.2 gallons of gas....thats 15 mpg thru the mountains and into a bit of a wind for a while..I have never felt comfortable running that far in this van...I'lil be heading down to el Paso in the morning and when i get there, I will figure the total gas used miles driven and mpg since i installed the K&N Air Filter...At this point I am me then happy with what i am seen and with what i think the total numbers on this westward trip...
Anyhow, In New Castle Colo. tracked my BIL down, got the key to his place and took a shower and am just relaxing until he gets home...Then off to his sons baseball game and then dinner..then bed for te night and leave early in the AM for el Paso....Sure have enjoyed this trip out here...kinda wish that this was the week grandma had gone with me..oh well, she asked about goin to orientation and getting approved to drive for the next timeshe decides to go along..ask ill ask Brian about it next time i am in the yard...

Cris, ive been up there a few times. My BIL has lived out here since 1996..we try and get out here every other yr or so....and yes the view up there is great and yes oxygen is important!!
casa benita restaraunt. w. colfax ave. denver. not the best food, mexican, but the place is under and above ground. inside resembles a cave. they have high divers and shows and other cool stuff.
Well, I am back among the living , think I'll survive! Thanks to those who checked on me, and asked how I was doin.
Checked out of the motel today, moved over to truckstop, and went back to sleep, just letting me-self recover! At the T/A having my breakfast.. er.. supper now, called dispatch and reminded them I've been here since Sunday morn, even tho my dwell time shows today LOL.
Joe advised just to hang here, he thinks he can get me out.. I promised my honey I'd be home for Mother's Day.. she's just a 'little' freaked out at me being in the hospital this far from home!
Thanks also to Kristy in dispatch for calling to check on me! Pleasant surprise!
