1 nibble, on one we are famous for getting.... And somebody sniped it from us.I've been dangling Candy and offered to ***** out my co-driver...in a nice and shiny clean cargo van...no nibbles even
I do it all the time, but I live in a supposed hot freight area... So far this year, not so much. It's a struggle to be less than 2 hours from home, and not get offers, not to turn for home
I live near Akron and I've been home every night except 4 in the last year, we get mostly 200 mile runs, so I go home and try againI live in Dayton, OH and been home every weekend but one for last year
Tornado Watch NW Ohio until 8pm tonight 5/11.And it's white here..about 3 " on the ground and still coming down heavy!
In 2011, after driving another Owners Sprinter to see what Expediting was all about and the Pay...I purchased a 2500 170" extended Sprinter. From the back doors forward, I made sure I had room for 3 Skids (12'). I then could build my almost full size bunk. Enough room to get in the side slide door. I have the interior open all the way, no walled-off area. Passenger seat removed and mini frig. secured. The permanent bunk made out of 4"x4's" and maybe a bit over-built...like a bulk head almost. I am happy with it, it's rustic, and so my Dog is content. Quantity 2, 4" thick memory foam mattresses do the trick. Came from Driving Solo Tractor Trailer. 2010 Graduate Trainco Truck Driving School. Class A CDL for .25 cents per mile. Nope, goodbye.I find myself at a crossroad.. My carrier wants 3 skids but I really want a NICE sleeper... Anyone have a nifty method for both they want to post about ?

Kinda makes you wonder what's in the box...Dropped a 960 mi weekend load in West Palm Beach FL this morning.
On the way there, stopped at mom and spent a few hours of Mother's Day with her. Saw a homeless brother, gave him 5 bucks(As I said I would on the last week post) for good karma
Problem is.....I took the ST load. It's a 70x70x10, 250 lbs box, inside delivery. It's a tough one!
Don't know if it's good or bad karma for taking the ST load. I'll find out this week, lol, LOL
It's a CT Scan part, actually.Kinda makes you wonder what's in the box...

Tornado Watch NW Ohio until 8pm tonight 5/11.
On May 7th I was Detained for a total of 4.5 hrs. At the Shipper with a GM Load.
I was told by 2 Dispatchers/Load Planners that the first 1.5 is on me.
I was informed today that GM doesn't have to Pay me Detention period on this Load.
This was at a Ceva Cross Dock. They finally brought 5 skids out to a spot behind my Sprinter. I checked their Part No. And qty. and it didn't match what I was supposed to pick up. Called in to inform Dispatch, then spoke with a couple Dispatch Managers there explaining my find. They were iffy on my discovery, but in the end, 3 hrs. On my Dime, they found the correct 4 Skids with matching Parts. Now, Remember, they were about to Load me incorrectly. TN to MI, but I caught it. Been with Bolt-Express for 4 years now and this is a FIRST!
That's just wrong. They say, due to the fact that this was an error by Nashville ODC and not GM, I won't get Paid any Detention of the total 4.5 hrs.. I relayed out the copied emails of the two Dispatchers that night that confirmed when my DP began. I feel WRONGED. Time on a Load = $. Do they work for 4.5 or even 3 hrs. For FREE?
