I find myself at a crossroad.. My carrier wants 3 skids but I really want a NICE sleeper... Anyone have a nifty method for both they want to post about ?

I have a really nice cot that just folds up and stow it out of the way. You run team still with the wife so that may not work unless she is ok with the cot and you on the floor lol.

I have seen several sprinters with bulkheads that can be removed and the mattress slid forward. Somewhere I have pictures of a well done one. I'll see if I can find them.

Well not all I thought I has but here is what I have.

The first pic doesn't show much I might have just been getting the carpet on the ceiling

Number two you can see a little storage on the drivers wall that stayed behind the wheel well.

Number three they built a box the size of the mattress that could be moved for and aft depending on bed location left the door side open for storage there was also the sane type of box on the drivers wall that went the full length of the bunk compartment for the bed to move on and offering storage

4 it helps to enlarge the pic it's an important one. They framed an opening to make it sqaure If you look you can see the driver wall and ceiling frane. Also look at the top of the bunk wall and you will see two hinges. The wall was split top and bottom. The top swung up and back on the hinges and fastened to the ceiling in the cargo area

The final picture is sideways but if you look closely you can see the split in the wall. The top half swung up, the bottom half simply lifted out and could be put along the wall out of the way.

3 skids, bed forward and no wall. 2 skids wall in place and full bunk.

This time of year it's called a tent! My long Transit allows the bed down across the back of the seats with 2 skids. Haven't had 3 yet.

Do they pay more on 3 skid loads? Anyhow, I don't know if there are any pics laying around of the Sprinter I had. It had what you want.
