I am looking for an excuse to go home..I'll take that load to Winnipeg...:D
I actually called panther to take the load but it mysteriously cancelled. That's ok. I got me a load last night from Soddy Daisy, TN to Jensen Beach, Fl which dropped this morning. So I wasn't too far from ya if you were sitting at the TA there in Knoxville. It's a roaster down here in Florida today and I'd like nothing more than to go home into the a/c. Mine isn't working in the van and she needs to be recharged.

Well after DH to Atlanta got short run to South Carolina and then got a load Friday out of Charlotte that delivers tomorrow in Dayton OH. So came up to the J in Jeffersonville OH ran into cv team I know at Landstar and we got a campsite at the camp ground behind the J. Cooked some burgers and dogs on the grill and started a campfire and just sat around relaxing , talking , listening to music , and looking at the night sky. Now sitting back at the J

Ok. so i am at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, my arm stinkin hurts cause I left it hangin out the window all day....since my stinking ac in the van isn't working and it was 93F today. A scorcher in more ways than 1. Gonna try and get a good nights sleep tonight too hot to sleep in the van with these temps. Gonna look for an ac repair shop tomorrow also.

Hudson, WI waiting for morning delivery in St Paul, MN. Ended the week with 1894 loaded miles. A nice weekend run to start the week five hundred miles ahead. For people who track miles and rates, I posted a snapshot of what I've been running in the bolt express carriers forum.

Because at Express 1 "only teams get to go to Texas!" Unless you are extremely lucky. The Mayor of Laredo has probably plastered TJP's face all over milk cartons in the hopes that their lost son may retuen one fateful day. But, alas, Express 1 shall never allow this to happen!

Sitting here in sunny southern California waiting to go back in service on Monday morning. I've had a pretty eventful week doing a lot of repairs to my van. I've painted the back bumper, painted most of the interior, including the pannels and trim, with spray paint.

I've gutted the entire front of the truck, including removing the seats, the nasty dented metal bulk head, and every pannel in order to vacuum, clean, and paint under them. This included removing the insulation on the bottom of the front matt on the floor because it smelt like stagnant water.

Finally got every nook and cranny super-detailed and put back together. The last thing I need to do is to hire someone to detail the outside, get some tinted windows, and install a new stereo. I'll have to leave that for next time I come home.

Just need to replace two front shocks before I go back in service and see what Bolt can do for me out this way. Almost had a load from San Diego to Dallas Texas on Saturday "but it fell through." There is also another Bolt cargo van about three hundred miles to the north of me "please stay there!" Hope you guys are doing well out there.

As far as the front shocks go, save yourself alot of time and trouble, and just torch the drivers side top off of the shock, there is no room to get anything up in there. And be sure to heat up the lower bolts before loosening them, or they may break at the part where the stud turns to thread, like mine did, then you have to grind off the stud, and drill a 1/2" hole trough all of that and go to Napa and get the stud kit.I did mine last week, and it turned into a nightmare, so to speak.

Guido, I think the shocks on the Ford are different. I don't think it's going to be that dramatic to change the shocks on a GMC van. The original shocks have already been replaced once and that might make it quite a bit easier to change them out. But i'm not gonna go to far if it looks like it's going to be a nightmare situation; i'll just have a mechanic do the work for me if that is going to be the case.

Do you know how to test the shocks without removing them? It seems like the drivers side bounces a bit more when I do the bounce test than the passenger side. But i'm not quite sure that the shocks need to be replaced, i'm just guessing here.

I thought you had a Ford van. My mistake. Monroe recommends replacing shocks every 50,000 miles.I did mine at 80,000, and even though they seemed to still be good as far as expanding when I took them off, there was a world of difference between the old and new ones.It is worth it to change them out with a good shock, such as a Monroe gas magnum, or gas magnum rv shock. One way to tell whether they are bad is after driving grab the body of the shock. They should be warm.If cold, they are bad.Do this on a cool day.Less friction inside the shock will make them not heat up as much.

Finally empty in Laredo..this run has been a mess from the start..1st dispatched consignee address was wrong, found that while still at the shipper...the shipper provide another delivery address...got into Laredo Sat afternoon, went by the given address and the name on the building was right, but since no one was there, including no security..i left and went back this morning...nope that company moved out and they refused the right (rightfully so) So after 2 calls to dispatch another addresss was given abd i finally was able to drop...

Now I am 2nd out down here...good thing the AC unit and Generator works great......:D
