Thinking about picking up one of them lunch box heaters for heating up canned goods and what not but those aluminum inserts seem pretty expensive but Im sure you could make your own much cheaper. Need to find something to heat up frozen pizza I love them also !!

You will be forever heating a can of hormel chili or canned beef stew in one of those...You can pickup a 1500 watt Micro wave for right around a hundred buck..get a few "gladware Micro waveable storage containers and pour anything from a can into them and nuke it..wipe the container out and use it again..i have 2 of them in the van that are over a yr old....and that inverter in the sprinter will power it, but id make a habit of running the motor while using the micro wave..even with my "house setup", i never use the micro wave unless i strat the motor..batteries will last longer...

As for a frig, again i have a 1.7 cube ft unit that cost right around a hundred bucks....and your inverter will power that too..TJ ran both off of it....as the nike people say, just do it....

Now, if you really want to feel like you did something during this home time, tear that **** wall down and make that bed foldable so you can get 3 big skids in there, then watch your income go up....when that "sleeper" was put in that van, i remember a guy that was kinda disappointed that the driver would limit his icome by making that wall fixed and not removeable....

Just had a fried bologna sandwich..but not feelin quite into it today....then i realized, i haven't had ANY COFFEE at all today.....makin the 1st cup now....Still waitin on that load call from dispatch....

To take 3 general skids dont I need a little over 12 ft? Im at 10ft now. I cant move the wall forward cause it will block out the roof fan will have to take it down. I can slide the bed up about 3- 3 1/2 feet to the rear seats.

Take the wall DOWN totally and put a "soft wall up that can come down when you need it to..a freight blanket held on a shower curtain rod with nylon ties works great until you can do something better...tear the bed down and use the wood to make it fold up against the wall when you need it to....then you should have 13 ft, but when you don't need it, you will still have the sleeper size you have now put the frig in the corner behind the drives seat and set the micro on top of that...you should still have enough room for 3 skids with that there...

Take a look at how i did mine ..its really easy and should have been done in that same fashion when it was doen the 1st time...but hey...

The key is don't make anything "fixed" in place, make it all moveable look at Nick and Jennys, they have a double size bed, but it goes away and they get 3 skids in there....that van can and will make more with that sleep gone...it should have never been there as it is....

Here you go Chris, this thread has maybe 35-40 pictures and post #197 showes the removeable wall and bed on page 4...on pg 5 is a picture with the wall rolled up and above 2 really tall skids....it can be removed or rolled up, either way. It only takes 5 minutes to go from the sleeper to being able to haul 3 skids on the floor...i have 13 ft of e-track on the floor...and useable space for cargo if needed...

Had 1 call with a great great load. Sharon PA To Tucson AZ. 2400 loaded miles, but only 48 hours to get it there. Couldn't get 58 hours. After about an 1.5 hours for fuel stops, didn't think I could do it safely. Pam agreed. Sure wish I could of got a few extra hours added on. Dang! Double Dang!

Wow. That's a lot of miles to expect straight thru. Surprised that was even offered to a solo.

Just takn a long shot! I certainly appreciated the thought. With fuel stops and some power naps, I would have to average about 59 mph. All it takes is one long construction zone to screw it up.Once out west where the limit is 75 and 80, could have made some good time, but some of that is really lost because of more fuel stops. Just 5 more hours, I would of been all over it. Pam tried to 60 hours but shipper wouldn't budge.

Actually I thought about that after I hung up. But it was too late. We both could of had a good one.
