Yeah, I could see that. I have learned here that I can drive longer at one time than I thought LOL..(no cruise control sucks tho!) but I think about 1000 miles per 24 hrs is a good pace. That gives time for a good rest, and fuel stops, etc.

Once I get above 65 in this Sprinter, the mpg falls off the chart. The last time I ran 75 in Texas, mpg went to 12.4. Down from 19.5 at 65 and 20.3 at 63. Seems the sweet spot is 62-64 depending on terrain.

1700 in 29-30 is about my limit. Then I need at least 5 for rest to continue on. During the day I drive with cruise, at night I feather the pedal. Keeps away the boredom for me.

Back at the yard. Utility got the damage all pounded out and I can close the door again. Couple more hours to get the APU running again. It shut down during the night and the cold woke me up.

Ok, I just picked up in memphis at the FedEx Air Hub....this piece of freight was touched by 3 expediting carriers on it way to EL Paso....But I am glad Load 1 was the last 1...

I had a post all typied out naming the carriers, but figured i probably shouldnt do that... you'd be amazed where this thing originated, and who touched it along the way, none of them small or even Mid size Carriers....And the pay aint bad...
