An old friend where I used to work always told me...just after I started working there... "you've not been here long enough to have an opinion, shut up :D". So, with that in mind, I'm going to go right ahead and offer an opinion (same as I did with that old fart :) )

From what I understand of the system John has in place with the layover and empty move pay, it is there for a reason. It's not there just to remove money from John's balance sheet.

If used properly, the situation more than likely corrects itself when John has 20 units all sitting in the yard, collecting layover pay. It may take a few hits, it may take a few ugly conversations between John and dispatch. I believe though that the system was designed with a purpose and, if allowed to work, might.

Generally the yard is a pretty fast turn. The last two months have been strange in the ebbs and flows of expedite freight.

Well good morning, Turtle! Ya know what? I'm full of love for ya, brother! Cause life is too short to be carrying around grudges...it'll eat at ya, and what good comes out of it? I deserve that, what you said, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, right? So, if I see you around, I'll still say hello, and maybe even try to give you a hug!
No, you're not "full of love for me, brother!", otherwise you wouldn't have done what you did. The above non-apology apology certainly doesn't diminish or dismiss what you did, nor the consequences of your actions. Even if what you said about me and my van were true, it should have never been posted in a public forum. What you did was not because you are full of love for me or anyone, it was out of pure meanness and thoughtlessness. You can't slap a cross on your van and tell me you're "full of love for me, brother!" while at the same time having failed utterly, even after learning of the consequences of your actions, to apologize publicly or privately, and think everything is OK.

So i gather a group hug is totally out of the question...:)

It was like $59.00 or something like that..4 wheel lazer alignment. The kid is pretty good, and the manager said he would give Load One priority, when possible.Nice place, good work, actually referred to me by some other shop on here.Real happy with them.He now accepts comchecks, now that I explained to him how they work, just have you're own blank ones.

You have the contact info?? I'd appreciate it...I had a shop in toledo want $259.00 because I have a "motorhome chassis"....LOL, i guess sometimes its a benefit, other times its not!!!

But the contact info would be appreciate..

I gathered that from Turtles post...:)

But hey, we all ave our crosses to bare..or is it bear...:)

Anyhow..I am empty in Del Rio..got to the delivery about 0230 est..they were colased, so i just rooled up in front of the place along the "fence" line and went to bed...wasn't too long i had a knock on the side of the van and a load "excuse me sir, Border Patrol".....i knew exactly what he was there for...i have been to this place well, close to it before with my previous carrier...it is directly across the 2 lane road from the 15 ft high new "border fence"...i mean within 20 ft of it...

So i got up and rolled the window down, he asked all the questiones and then told be to get out of there until day light...sooo back to the parking lot of the HEB until this morning...

You have to love our "friendly neighbors to the south"...:)

Oh and the wifi signals all over Del Rio suck....and it is raining a cloudy here..and there are 3 sprinters in Laredo that would be ahead of me...so it looks like Del Rio for a few days..unless dispatch can work its magic..

2 things. 1 I don't mind constructive thoughts and debate over ways that we can work to probe yours and our customers experience.

2, toilet is fixed thanks to Rocketman.

Last year i sat at the expo with John, just me and him enjoying lunch and good conversation, both business and personal. Sometime that during that conversation, He ask me "what about Load 1 don't you think works right?" At that time i was still pretty impressed and couldn't really offer much..but i found a few little things that i can't even remember now...I do know they weren't anything to write home about...as we were talking john had his laptop open and he kept looking at it, making note and both mental and on the screen..our conversation turned to "units sitting" and how he hated it..i knew this from the e-mail i got from him when i had sat 2 days in atlanta on one of my every 1st runs with Load 1..his e-mail was an apology for me sitting for 2 day.....anyhow, that laptop was open to a screen that showed him where every single unit in the fleet was and what its "status" was...not just the expedite fleet, ALL of them, every truck Load 1 has either their own or contracted with..he knew what was going on...

So yea, John knows whats going on and he has no poroblem hearing about "issues"...because he is looking to fix them and make sure that we as contractors are taken care of....post all the "stuff" you think needs attention...its not a problem...

As for the toilet...way to go Kenny!!!
