Found out a little more about what all happened with my card. The bank did call first, but their call was from a Caller ID-Blocked phone, so I never got the call. They then followed up with an e-mail telling me the card was suspended and for me to call, which I did. Once it was determined that some of the charges were fraudulent, they killed the card and issued me a new one.

There were a few large charges for large dollar amounts that didn't go through, but after that they tried a small one for $15 that did sneak through. I've started the dispute process with both my bank and Walmart.com to get that removed.

It turns out, whoever stole it has my address, too, because they needed that (confirm billing address of the card) for both Walmart.com and Yahoo Wallet, which is how they tried to use the card. I didn't even know Yahoo Wallet existed. Google Wallet I knew about, but not Yahoo Wallet. So, they created a new account at Walmart.com on by behalf, thank you very much, using my address, but a different phone number and e-mail address than mine. The accounts (Yahoo Wallet and Walmart.com) also have a shipping address for California.

This is probably why I am not liked very much, speaking my mind and all, but,.....
That's quite a little door you opened up there. Not liked for speaking your mind? Not at all. I don't like you very much because you're mean, callous, thoughtless, unapologetic and hypocritical. I don't like you because you posted totally uncalled-for, very unflattering, things about an EO member at another site for the explicit purpose of simply being mean, and for drawing incorrect conclusions about me and my truck, and then after refusing to accept a factual explanation of the situation, you proceeded to exaggerate and embellish (lie) your conclusions in a public forum that had real-life ramifications beyond the forum, and after being made aware of the consequences of your actions you made no attempt at all to even offer up an insincere apology. Be that as it may....
What difference does it make where we go, as long as we have a load on the truck???
In theory, and largely in practice, it doesn't matter. There is a mindset, and possibly a comfort zone in place, that cannot help but to affect how loads are looked at and bid on. True enough a lot of what happens is because of Canada, but that thinking and necessity spills over and permeates loads and trucks having nothing to do with Canada.

Using Chicago again as an example, let's say they are looking at four loads that can be bid out of Chicago. One goes to Warren, the other three go to Charlotte, NC, Auburn, AL, and Alliance, NE. The mindset zeros in on Warren and dismisses the others. When in doubt bring 'em back to Taylor. We can always get 'em loaded out of Taylor, might not be able to get 'em loaded out of those other places. But all things considered, those other places may in fact pay considerably more than the load to Warren. Observations in dispatch and comments from same lead me to believe that this is the mindset, and is what happens at least on occasion. This isn't really a complaint so much as it is food for thought.

As for getting loads home, that's a luxury that no one should expect. However, when I tell six different people my situation and that I need one going in the general direction of home, I do expect at least one of them to remember it, write it down, put it in the notes, something, and make others aware of it, and be aware of it when looking for loads, especially when I'm offered loads from dispatchers who I have personally talked to about it.

I don't expect Turtle Recall, but I do expect a little Logistical Memorex[SUP]®[/SUP].
Maybe I need to spring for a case of Post-It Notes[SUP]®[/SUP] for the office. :D

This is probably why I am not liked very much, speaking my mind and all, but,.....What difference does it make where we go, as long as we have a load on the truck??? I mean, we are not driving a Prevost, or anything like that, right? I thought the main idea was to haul freight, no matter where it goes, making money while doing so?I don't care if I run back and forth from Mi to Florence, as long as it pays, and IS somewhat consistent. And, as many vehicles as we do get piled up here at times, they still do a good job of getting us out in a reasonable manner, so, what's the beef? Ken, this is not directed at you personally, mind you..And, besides, it is a money-saving feature coming up here, free, nice, clean showers, free truck wash, laundry, drivers lounge, so, is it REALLY that bad of a thing? I can understand if we need to get home, and it doesn't happen, and as nice as it would be, they always can't pull a load going to a certain destination out of their rear ends, either, as competitive as it is....I'm just sayin'

Now that I've had a good nights sleep....

WHAT the heck you talking about?....Not liked....that is all in your mind buddy....yes we have some pom pom carrying members here....who gives a rats azzzz....really?....any cold shoulder you felt was all on you.....John can appreciate a well spoken respectful debate between everyone here.....and everyone else should have the good graces to respect anothers opinion whether they are knocking or praising...

I spoke honestly here.... if so and so don't like it?...do I care? NO...but is my opinion...We by way of being able to speak our minds WHATEVER the issue is as far as operations that John will listen and consider any reasonable proposal, even criticism..to assure we never go down the road the of Pantherization....So carry on Dave...I can say that John will respect your opinion as well....

Opps Turtle posted while I was typing....maybe there is 1...LOL...but nothing that can't be solved....with a little shell polishing.....LOL

They call mine a security freeze...I just call the 1-800 number and they ask..did you purchase fuel at such a such place?.....Ok we were just checking......and then they re activate it instantly.....no problem.....

Citibank does that to mine. You verify the last 3 transactions and the unfreeze it.

Dispatch notes for units on the planning screen is a weakness. We have 37 current system requests/upgrades pending with our software provider. Being as we can't do those kind of changes ourselves it is often frustrating and slower than I would like. It will be 38 on Monday if I am understanding correctly that the qcomm's cut off the messages we send and you are not getting all of them. I was really sure notes or special instructions already came over. EB if you could give me that order number it would be a help.

2 things. 1 I don't mind constructive thoughts and debate over ways that we can work to probe yours and our customers experience.

2, toilet is fixed thanks to Rocketman.
