How many carriers are now making C/V's or 10K and less log?
Do you log?

I have heard some carriers are now making everyone log, no matter what size truck they drive.

What Company's do.
What Company's don't.

There is no legislation regarding this. Without a doubt it's driven by liability. What a shame.

Yes which company's are requiring all drivers to log.
C/V's included.
There are a couple of company's starting this, I would like to know who and if it's going to be a industry thing or not.
(Should make dispatchers log coming and going to work.)

what companies that that you know of are doing this. you mentioned there are a couple. state who they are.

It sounds like you've been listening to the "Chicken Little, the sky is falling" folks that are convinced that vans will have to begin logging any day now. Any day. There are people that have been saying that for many years, and even though there have been HOS changes with vans appearing to be nowhere near being on the DOT radar, they're still convinced that it'll happen any day now. Any day.

If you've heard about a "couple of companies", but have no clue as to what companies that would be, it sounds like it was just drivers talking out of a bodily orifice that wasn't meant for talking.

He does not know...he HEARD....key word there..heard

With that said..there has been for some time now a truckstop rumor circulating that FedCC is close to instituting such a thing...everyone picks on Fedex so I take that with a grain of salt....

As Star also just said...the sky is falling...

Ontario man is right I read it and heard it from a couple of drivers. Maybe I just jumped the gun. You'd think after 40 years out here I wouldn't jump the gun on driver chit chat, or BS whatever.

Hey we all get caught up in the moment sometimes....

nothing shakes up CV'ers better then to mention logging...LOL

I've not heard anything about this at all. Here is what I think:

1)truck drivers love conspiracies
2)truck drivers fear the government
3)truck drivers lie

Lying truck driver + Scared truck driver = BS

I would support it for nothing else from a liability reason. Think about, it would make business sense to protect your company being able to show you don't push cv drivers just because you can.....its about protecting what u worked hard to build.

Don't you think us CV'ers can regulate ourselves as in be professional?

Unfortunately...NO...I'd say a good percentage are skimming the business and should not be in this field...
