There's a little place in Olathe that I usually go to, at least when I hit town from the south. Not much more parking than the J, and it's even more noisy because of all the Tyson bobtails that park there, but nobody will bother you there. It's I-35 exit 215, on the street that's across from the entrance to the Great Mall of the Great Plains. You can see if from I-35, or at least the CAT Scales sign. It's a Shell fuel stop (a Star Fuel Center), room for, I dunno, 30 trucks on one side, and 10 bobtails on the other between the convenience store and the Wendy's. All kinds of restaurants nearby. It's also half a mile west of Garmin's headquarters.

The only reason I moved up here from down there is because I pick up really close to here in the AM.

We pick up in Harrisburg, PA in the morning and are headed for Philly, in that snow. I can hardly wait. As much as I need the money I would not be too upset if that load cancells. I am not looking forward to driving in that city, in that snow. I will do it, but I won't enjoy it. Layoutshooter

Sitting in the snow here the T/A exit 89 off I-95 va. It's ok if not mind that the 4 washer and dryer have broke down for a week now and tv remote does't work it can only turn the tv on/off. tv has no knobs or bottons, so Lord of the Rings is repeating all day long. I guess it good thing i have wi-fi sevice

Sittin here at the J in Geogia (exit 320 on I-75) left Carlisle,Pa Fri night. Delivered in Rome, Ga yesterday morning. Sat at the Pilot in Cartersville, Ga last night. There is another FDCC straight truck sittin here also (dont know if they are EO users or not) also I think that there is a Express1 truck here too but didnt get close enought to tell exactly.

Hey Layoutshooter that was me that you talked to fri afternoon at the J in Carlisle. Lol I am envious of your truck I like all the add ons.............hope that you got to go visit a few friends before you headed to Philly

Walmart next to Lynnhaven Mall.
Talked to the Manager. He said there wasn't a chance in hello that they were going to fill their parking lot so there is no problem staying here.

We refuse to patronize the nasty Charlie's Truck Stop.

There are plenty of restaurants, stores and theatres here.
Took showers at the Gold's Gym and even got a workout.

Very windy here, it will be like sleeping in a sailboat tonight.

Little rock, ar i55 on the way here was pure hell for about 20 miles. I think they forgot how to start their plow trucks.

We are parked at one of the twin TA's in Ontario, CA. Got a quickie load in the morning. Have been up and down the west coast for a couple of weeks. Can't complain, at least the weather is nice.:cool:

Chicopee, MA after dropping in Selkirk, NY ... Sitting in the parking lot of some local grocery chain, behind the Midas Muffler on RT-33 (just across from the Walmart) ... If you're in the neighborhood drop on by ....:D

It's snowing here btw, rather heavily .....

I sat in that Walmart last fall...got a load 2 blocks away(what luck)...went to Memphis!!!

We leave for a pick up in Harrisburg as soon as Mrs. Layoutshooter returns from the car rental. It took her 45 minutes to drive 8 miles. I can hardly wait to run this load. The weather is much worse where we are headed. Layoutshooter

No, at a motel in York. Spent the weekend visiting old friends. We are leaving in about 10 minutes. We pick up in Harrisburg and deliver in Philly. Lucky us. Layoutshooter

I am on the Harrisburg board sittin at the Petro in Carlisle. I didn't see the run opportunity from Harrisburg to Philly. Maybe TVAL or DOD clearance, which I don't carry?
Now lets see a run movin me back west. Took a run out of Los Angeles on Tuesday for Friday morning delivery in Newark area.
Then picked up Friday evening in Newark,N.J for a straight thru to the Atlanta area but lost my marker lights at Carlisle and had to transfer the load to another truck sittin in the parking lot, here at the Petro
Nice load for him with a 50 yard d/h to pickup.

They called me for a short one this morning ... but it ended up going dry-run ..... which is fine - the dry run actually ended up paying better than if I had ran it :D

Down at the Starbucks on US 5 in Meriden, CT right now .... roads here are a mess .... and the snow jus' keeps on comin' ....

It was a TVAL run. We were dispatched on it last Friday. We are now at the Petro in Bordentown, NJ. Sitting on "Expediter Row" for the night. We have a load for tomorrow afternoon picking up in Philly. Layoutshooter
