But have you tried it fried? That's the only way I like it. I remember Jerry Clower's line about stewed okra. Said he ate so much as a kid that his stocks wouldn't stay up. Also forgot to add apple sauce to go with the ham. Jerry Lee

For an after dinner drink, I'd suggest a Golden Cadillac.

1oz. Galiano
2 oz. white creme de cocoa
1 oz. light cream

Combine ingredients with 1/2 cup of ice. Blend at low speed for 10 seconds. Strain into the fanciest glass ya got and enjoy.

Ice cream can be substituted for the cream and ice.

Edit: As i reread that last line... Sounds like kind of a "duuhhh..."

I just talked to my wife about this about a half hour ago...We do Christmas for the entire family at our house...28 people...well except my youngest son, he (he works with the defensive backs) will be at the bowl game with the University of Toledo football team, looks like they will leave the 23rd)

I'll probably go out of service the 20th and start getting things going..We most certainly will follow Juju with Ham, greenbean casserole (my oldest son still calls it "sunday beans', cause his grandma made them every sunday when he was little and were there for dinner) mashed taters and gravy...

but from there we will start with apps, a white wine and pearl onion risotto, beef tips in a red wine and coffee beef and veggie broth with a gelatin, and creme brulee..

For dinner, Jujus list from above and for the "Blank"...3 roast beef rump roast, 1 so rare it will move when you cut it, 1 med rare and 1 med...any one whats it done beyond that can nuke it.., cheese potatoes, freach green beans in balsamic vinegar and orange glaze with orange zest and walnuts, those sweet potatoes with brown sugar and marshmallows that Dakota spoke of, baked sweet onions that have been hollowed out and filled with beef broth, sealed with butter and a slice of provolone cheese over the top, wrapped in foil and baked, sauteed fresh mushrooms.

Drinks of multiuple types will flow as we have a few professional bartenders and drinkers n the family..but that golden Caddy does sound good to finish the night!!

Oh and Juju....good job!!! :D

On Friday I was heading NB I69 in Indy at mm 50. 3 of us running together. Dot sitting in the middle, came up behind me, pulled me in the rest area around Gaston, IN for a level 1. During or conversation, he said "because of the bad weather, his quota for the day was 34 level 1 inspections." Since my last one was in Aug. it was my lucky day. No problem thou, passed with flying colors. As the weather starts to get bad, the man is gonna be working the nice days hard. Be ready! Thank you for the bonus John. Merry Christmas to all. Be safe.
