The subject has long since ceased to have the slightest bit of humor or interest to the majority of folks, and worse than boring, it gives the impression that this is one of those sites where 'inside jokes' keep newbies out - is that what you guys want here?
Because after you've driven everyone away but the handful who still yuk over the stupid shorts, then what?
EO is a resource I'd like to see thriving, and beating dead horses is hardly the way to keep it interesting, IMO.
And BTW: we had this conversation awhile ago, but some folks just don't get it.

hey cheri chill girl. dont fear the shorts they can be messzmeriing.
yes the shorts chokes are no longer as funny as they use to be. but so what. there has been many poor attempts of humor on here. this is not company xyz recruitment webpage.
we are EO..
EO is a community. where newbies can join and learn and old timers can socialize. yes some bad jokes and most definately disagreements.
cheri there are a lot of inside chokes going on here that a newby wouldnt even realize was going on and sometimes even senior members dont know. and there is the personal axes some members have against other members who find ways to attack each other. we are a family with flaws.
you make valid points its just if we went to pure ask a question get only question answered, with no opposing views/humor from other members. that would make this sight pretty boring and it would have already died.
so cheri i say to you. i love ya girl her is a big ole hugggg. please dont leave us. even with our worts.

Thanks to newbie JimF51, for saying what I meant. Mainly, that nothing is funny the 15000th time you read it - not a single thing is that funny, and the shorts weren't even very funny to begin with.
As for the advice to not read the posts that are inane, how do I know what it says if I don't read it?
I'm just asking that a handful of posters [you know who you are] don't turn EO into 'their' insiders club, or Twitter standin, or blog, cos that will not keep us dynamic & robust, to borrow some buzzwords.
And if you have something funny to say, I want to read it as much as the next goober, ok?
