I don't get all the "but what about xxxxxx " that goes on in these forums rather than judging dirtbags and miscreants on their own merits.
It seems they are over due for a Hunker.

Was watching Ice Road Truckers and Hugh had a shotgun in his truck, is that legal up in Canada?
The police rarely get positive press it's mostly negative, and the firefighters are always the heroes not the police, sad but true
It does seem that many in here have NEVER hunkered around a bonfire to see how conversations ebb and flow in their natural environment. Can you imagine just how boring a hunker it would be is some in here attended?
I would bet most of the petty differences would be disappear and everybody would realize how much they have in commom.
Wow, but someone must have had to much coffee today, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there boys and girls. wayyyy to much coffee, IMHO
I'm jealous!
If you and a crooked cop go to court, who are they going to believe? What if that cop has 5 of his buddies to back his story? What if the chief of police backs his story? Mayor? Judges? Juries? I've heard of the way the crooked cops tear up an innocent person be described as rape! I can understand that too.
I'll tell you what... Yes wore me out with their music, physically and mentally, to the point where I thought I just ran a marathon! GREAT STUFF!!! Steve Howe's solos were 10 minutes of ear candy.
Who is yes and the styx?
A big improvement would be to abolish the municipal police model and replace every police department with sheriff's departments run by elected sheriffs. That's not a complete fix, seeing as another wall has to be erected between all local law enforcement and Washington, but it would be a big step towards fixing things. As I've said... Our problems come from the fact that the police police the police, judges police judges, and politicians police politicians. There is very little accountability.
Actually i had a good encounter with a cop the other day im on time off going to the va for some app. And a cop pulled up next to me going about 30 mphn comin to a lite he bumps the siren and motions to roll down window and he thanks me for doing what i did in vietnam he seen the hat in the rear window we were about 6 miles to the va , tells me to fall in behind him and escorts me to the va hospital lites and all , this is the first time anyone has said thanks for being a vet made me feel good, thanks to all are veterans.
This will be hard to say without coming off like a **** but although it was a nice gesture on his part, it was also totally unnecessary (especially the use of lights). It kind of makes the OP's point about having that power and using it. Why not just thank you like he did and carry on?
It is an American thing Scott....The returning troops back then were spit on, protested against and well felt hated...
Even to this day some supporters will go out of thier way to say thanks to the point of what this cop did...
The Vets never really got thier real due...which was a shame...
I know all about the Vietnam war and how veterans were treated. My point is he did the right thing by thanking him for his service, but instead used that power he had to light up the christmas tree to do the escort thing. And to the person who posted that I don't want you to take that personally, it isn't intended that way at all, but rather to comment on how some LEO's use (and possibly abuse) their powers.
