If you are in Allentown(?), you will not sit long.... That area was very good to me this week. One in 972 miles one out 339 miles, one passing through 559 miles, to add with the ones I already had. Had a chance to visit with #2 son and wife in Va beach as well...Then a all miles paid to Winchester, VA. Last week was just as busy and then some.

Sitting in a motel room in Maryland waiting on a truck repair and trying to deal with "carrier issues." Anytime I see people complain about a carrier on here, I always take it with a grain of salt, but it's a little different when you're on the receiving end.

Sitting at a Wilco a little north of Charlotte after a dry run, good thing I left my brother's house where I was sleeping in a bed with AC and having fun visiting my brother, sister in law, and nieces to pick up a load that was way to tall so I can sit in a hot van, or idle and lose more money.

That's Louisiana, New Orleans and south of there. You get 50, 80 miles south and west of New Orleans, and it's a different world. With some of these people, you're going good to pick out about every third word they say. With others, you won't understand one in ten.

About 7 months ago, Jeffman and I stopped for gas while driving across extreme southern Louisiana. When we went into the store, two men were standing in the vestibule speaking the local language. When we got past them, Jeff looked at me quizically. I whispered, "Cajun". Jeff asked me what they were saying. I told him, "I dunno. I just know it when I hear it. Now you will, too"

I can understand a lot of accents and dialects having been raised of southern parents and working in a "teaching" hospital...just can't get Cajun down pat.

Used some simple green on the plastic under the hood, cleaned the windows and now we're getting the t-storm. The breeze sure did feel nice, but gonna have to wipe down the windows again

Just watch Swamp People, it is about the Louisiana swamp people, you can hear the accent and it gives subtitles on the show so you know what they are saying.
