Easy to be confused by my post, bazillion j's. I am too, and that's why I post that way. I kid.

Some clarifications:

Yep. Needed a jump on the 'new' vehicle. Seller made me fully aware, and is splitting cost with me. That's why I made a post asking about decent battery places. I refuse to let a dealer bend me over.

I was asked if I had a limiter, and advised the dispatcher that I had every intention of getting the adjustment, but not until I got a CA run. Got it done en route. Forty-six bucks. Gotta figure there were plenty of trucks near me.......just noticing some of the angst toward the limiters, we figured it was a smart business decision, and have every intention of remaining below 65 anyhow.....everywhere. It's our fuel, after all.

First run went through CA, as an in-transit. First time for that, for us. We do CA loads all the time. Seems to be one every week for the last 6.

The truck's an '05 M2 106 with 280k miles. We posted an ad here for an owner-financed truck and received the call 1.5 hours later. Small sleeper, but very decent starter truck. Battery issue aside, it's been well-maintained. Gotta thank EO for the hookup.

I'm at home. I just finished eating a meal of walleye cooked over an open flame with an apple wood chip kicker. Accompanying the fish were baby red potatoes with fresh from the garden chives and Minnesota wild rice. I have one fillet left over to eat cold on my way to Lebanon, TN. tomorrow.

Life is good! Especially when you are rich like me. Thank you George Bush for treating me like one of your oil cronies.

Hey T.C. how about sending me a nice Napa Valley Chardonnay. I heard it goes great with walleye and wild rice. Ya you betcha!

I had the pleasure of the company of EO member "morningstar55ny" this morning during a late breakfast (she was kind and patient enough to wait ..... until I could drag my sorry butt out of the sack, grab a shower, and head over to her exit so we could hit Denny's :D)

She is driving a very clean '07 Freightliner M2 Business Class .... nice rig.

Great to be able to meet folks from on here - and nice to occasionally have some face to face social company with folks with common professional interests, while we are out here, away from family and loved ones.

I'm now in Auburn, IN after having dropped my load two hours early.

It IS always fun, is it not? I was happy to get home and find my EO stickers. They will be on the truck when I go out next.

And just a thought..I wonder how feasible it would be to pull a 20 ft travel trailer behind the van for sleeping and waiting for a load. Just unhook to get loaded/unloaded, then hook back up.Can you imagine the looks of shippers/receivers? lol.
