We started the week in El Paso, TX. Made a quickie run up to Safford,NM (Rozwell area) and back to E.P. Then got a lovely load to FORD in St. Paul, MN. We thought we might sit a bit as we were down on the list, but 3 hrs later we were on our way to Chesapeake, VA. Now we're sitting at the TA in Jessup (Baltimore),MD and have moved up to 2nd out. Of course we've seen trucks disappear below us as well.
We never did get pulled for a DOT. In fact, a large number of scale houses were closed. Wonder if it was all that rain???
Wishing I knew of a good place to eat crab, that we could easily get to in the truck!;)

I got a load out of TH a couple weeks ago but I think it was just dumb luck as I was moving heading to Indy. I will be passing through Indy this evening have a pickup in Niles IL this afternoon heading to Kentucky.

Hey Morning star... move over to exit 23 off I 70 .Brazil,IN... There are 3 truck stops there. a Pilot, Roadranger and Ambest...I was there about 3 weeks and the food at the Ambest was real good at a fair price. also the have free showers at the Ambest just have to show them your cdl.. lot of loads come out of that area and most of the trucks are sitting in Indy. as far as needing a truck wash looks like mother nature will take care of that about the 1st of the week.

I am sitting at the Pilot in Knoxville,TN at exit 398.1st out ..shows we have 6 other trucks in kNOXVILLE....where is everybody at.. thinking of heading home but realy need a load!!

Finally getting home after eight weeks away from home - our first two months as expediters. We'll be in the Portland metro area. We can finally lose all that "stuff" we thought we'd "need"! :)

Went back in service last Thursday afternoon after ... ahhh .... some extended time off .... :D

Got the call within about 1/2 hour after I called in to put myself back in service, picked up in Middleburg Heights, OH going down a little north of Chattanooga ... wasn't there all that long a few hours before they called with another one going up to Ashley, IN delivering Sunday night.

Hanging out at the J in Whitehall, IN for the next 24 or so ...

there is a reason they have free showers, they put in one of those on demand hot water heater thingys. and the showers are too far from the hot water heater. so you have to run the sink in the shower at the same time as the shower to keep the hot water flowing. otherwise, you get cold spots. lol, it was kinda tricky when i used it for the first time.

Sittin at the J in Griffin, GA here's a sunset pic I got last night a few miles into Ga. After it stormed. Could the placement of a rainbow be a promise not to raise the fuel prices anymore??? I don't think so....just a mere coincidence

Left prior owners on 5/30, bought 'new' truck ('05) on Wednesday, meeting seller at FECC. Wife broke down with van following me on OH turnpike, and I didn't notice her missing for 20 miles. Long ride home didn't include a stop at the IRP office to transfer title and get apportioned plate, so we headed home. Got up early the next AM, expecting to get everything done and registered by noon, but that didn't occur until 1700. Went in service after a jump start, and headed to Gary from Lansing. Spent the night there, and got a run picking up 2 miles from the house (in Michigan - go figure) after a call about a speed limiter, and delivered Saturday morning in western NY. DH to Brookville, PA, and pickup tomorrow AM for another run to Canada. Our first hazmat load, and our second as owners.

Hmmph!

But congrats on the new status as O/O!

does that mean you already needed a jump start on your 'new' vehicle??

does that mean you have a speed limiter and you got the run becuz the other truck did not?

When you say 'another' run to Canada, was the first run to Canada too?

Anyway, sounds like you're doing well so far as OO! What kinda truck did you get?

Sorry I'm so confused

Well hopefully you will run into your 'bro', 'Benzoid', on the road at some point! You guys can maybe compare ears and wash your shirts or something! hehe

And next time you're in my necka the woods, don't be a stranger! We could do a quick Tim's!
