propane is good IF you dont have the funding for the big price tag of the Espar upfront....BUT propane will cost you over the heating season....$15-20.00 a fill up nearly every 3rd to 4th day....and the inconvenience of getting it refilled or doing the swap thing.....AND the cost of paper towels to wipe the inside of van down from all the condensation that will rust your van from the inside out....over the entire heating season you could have probably bought that espar....
oh and did I forget the filter you should be having on that heater as well....to get the oil out of line

If you go propane route id recommend carbon monoxide detector i used the buddy heater most of the winter last winter in the cv
