Electrical such as wiring harness shorting out at 57K. Driver side headlight goes out every 2 months. Other lights burning out first month. Fuseable link near battery blew out. That's the electrical side. The rest was the usual promaster like squeaky brakes as most have. Rear bushings bad from day 1 like most. It's more less the electrical that it became a lemon in their words. 50K since no issues. Hopefully continues but I'd still like a new one as they offered. They probably see 50K and no issues and now are reconsidering lol.

That's the problem when you get a new vehicle newly released to the public. Not all the defects have been corrected until a few years into the model brand. I believe the Sprinter had similar issues when it was released in the US for consumer sales.

Our 2012 Dodge pick up made right here in Detroit had like 11 service bulletins and 1 recall...in the first few years.....service bulletins you don't usually hear about them and problems are corrected when you take it in for servicing.....might be just a different kind of bolt or washer...

It will be a cpl years until they redesign the brakes assembly. I sent a nicely worded email to the ceo for reconsideration. I prefer handle it man to man rather than arbitration but I think I have them on the points needed for arbitration that shows they have back peddled. All else fails we'll ride this $itch til we no longer can then tie a sinker to it and sink it at my grandmas gravel pit so the pike, catfish, bass etc can get uninterrupted use of it. Which is more than we got.

Here is the email sent to Sergio, CEO of Chrysler.

Hello Sergio,

I'm sure you may recognize my name by now lol. I'm the one that had choice words with Sherman Dodge. Was I wrong, of course. Was the dealer incompetent, yes. Wish things on both sides could have worked for the better but it is what it is.

We were doing the buy back program and today Jill Carter said we would owe $13,000 minimum due to mileage. We have just over 100,000 miles now and back in August we had around 50,000. So we now are being penalized for miles though we were told different by Sandra at ISG. The dealer sales manager, Tom Conway, told Sandra we use this van for our transportation business and would put a lot more miles on it. Sandra told him as long as they're not vacation miles it didn't matter. Now it matters because we put so many on. What were we suppose to do let the van sit as a lawn ornament until Chrysler got our van which took nearly four months. We have a monthly payment so we must work the van. Jill just said it's all the extra miles. Like I said what were we suppose to do?

This lemon van we have here now fails us again it could bankrupt us. We have been in business for a year. It would definitely force us to shutdown. No compassion? What is 50,000 miles for a billion dollar company such as yours? This great country of ours bailed Chrysler out with billions of dollars and I'm here asking compassion for around $13,000. I don't get it. Were small business people that made an investment with your van and I think it's a great accomplishment to do so much work with this van in such a short time. I can't believe Chrysler is going to squash us like this. Please intervene.

There's also issue of a roof vent I put on the van. Jill doesn't have accurate info on this either and I didn't get into specifics with her. At the time Sandra spoke to my wife initially we had a rooftop A/C installed. I have receipts to prove purchase date which was done in the spring. The roof vent was put in place with the onset of winter approaching so the A/C unit wouldn't see the elements of the winter season. We didn't expect the new van until late November. Jill believes this was something done since the buy back was initiated and I can show the A/C was there prior to. My wife spoke to Sandra concerning this in their initial phone calls and Sandra stated any upfitting you do we will reimburse you for upon receipts.

Please tell me which you value more; knowing you allowed for a small company continue with their love for transporting freight or putting $13,000 in Chryslers pocket.

Chrysler has shown real compassion over the last year concerning our van issues. Stephen Brown has exceeded my expectations with making himself available and seeking solutions. I'm asking for Chrysler for more compassion. That's why I am shocked still that Jill is showing no compassion. She's stuck on $$$$$. I told her we have lost more money in revenue during the downtime that our van was being repaired for numerous issues than the $13,000 she's requiring. It's as though she wants to penalize us for something.

I asked to speak to you and Jill said you wouldn't. Are you on a higher pedestal than me? Are you an elitist? Are you the 1%? I'm none of that either. I am, though, a Chrysler customer. What does that mean to you? To me it means everything and so does this van. I am someone that had a dream of owning my own van and running my own company hauling freight. Your product fit the requirements and the dimensions exceeded the competitors. I envisioned a long road of success and adding more Promasters to our fleet. By my word of mouth only I have sold four Promasters to one fleet owner and another buddy bought one. That's five Promasters yet Jill is hesitant over $13,000 and 50,000 miles.

Nobody told us if you continue to use this van as a work van you will be penalized. If we knew all that then we would have chosen a 2014 van. But the dealer couldn't locate a 2014 comparable model so we had to wait for a 2015.

I plead with you to stand behind this product and honor what was originally agreed to. We never received any of our rights at the beginning concerning the buy back program. We took Chryslers word. That word was we wouldn't be penalized for the miles then or as we continued to wait for a new van.

I await your reply and truly wish to see you make an honorable decision. Our future in this line of work rests solely on you and this lemon.

That's something like .27 cents a mile it's more than a rental truck charge and they pay all the repairs an maintenance sounds like a hosing to me
