Delivered in Tampa on 1/6 then deadheaded home to Lake City, FL.
Temp dropped to 19 last night and my water lines are frozen. In Florida we don't plan for temps below freezing to last more than a day or two. Oh well, they should thaw by noon when the temp will be around 48. High today predicted to be 58.
I am assuming I will be getting opps to go to Iowa or North Dakota before the day is over.

We are at the Baytown, TX, TA. I know, it sucks, but here we are. On the up side as of right now we are the only FedEx "D" unit checked in!! It is cooling down with a cold wind blowing. Not as cold as up north but cold. It it sunny. We are going to hook up to IdleAire this evening, assuming no run. I hear there is a football game on tonight?

So am cruisin down I-39 north of rochelle and lo and behold I see this huge cloud of snow and a flatbed crosses in front me about 1500 feet ahead I thinks he's making a U-turn but no he flies down the ditch and hits the other side and his tractor was airborne about 10 feet off the ground and he bounced down and thru the farmers fence into the field..I could see him bouncing in the cab...when I get closer there is a state plow on his side..me and 2 other cars stop and the plow driver was shaking and stirred but otherwise ok and 911 was called...told him to stay put in case he was hurt and at least he was out of the brutal cold...the tractor driver was shook up and probably wet his pants...so his rig must have clipped the plow and came all the way across that wide median across my lanes and into the field!! Phew....close call...

Got a load for tomorrow to Orlando. I am already at the transfer point, waiting for the other driver to bring it down from ohio.
Be careful if you drive on I75 between Chattanooga and Atlanta. The road is an ice rink. Tennessee is ok, I guess Georgia ran out of salt shakers.
