Just turned down a load going to Florence, KY from Pittsburgh, PA that wasn't paying my rate... Got another load offer where I had to dh to Syracuse, NY in this weather and deliver in Smiths Falls, Ontario...that one got swiftly rejected..so here I am...still sittin.

At home, the phone rang twice today, once to entice me and then to pee on the parade. Lots of us Cdn guys are home so it might be a slow week to get us all moving again.

On the bright side, the weather within 700 miles of here is not much warmer so it's not like I'm missing out on the sunny warmth of say.....Dayton or Toledo. Heck I was only 10 degrees different than Charlotte NC today.

Left georgetown Ky at 3 am, dh'd to pu in Corbin Ky, deliver to Cumberland Maryland in the afternoon...seeya

Chef, were you at the choo-choo shop in Corbin. I picked up there Saturday night, actually early Sunday morning. I ended up on the wrong side of the tracks. I could see the tops of the buildings and the yard lights and had to go back to get under the tracks. My Garmin was worthless.

We picked up a load in Bucyrus, OH yesterday and delivered in Shawnee, OK today. We are now sitting at the "J" in Tulsa. We pick up a load near here in the morning and take that to Corpus Christi TX. Let's hope this kind of stuff keeps up all year!! Great way to start 2010!!!

Yeap Moot, picked up ay the CSX /GE yard, I have been there a time or 2 and i always goin off Laurel ave on the back side..easier to get down to the Engine house...

Just dropped at the CSX/GE yard in Cumberland Maryland...Dh'd over to Hagerstown,,,went out of service to gwet some sleep, then a later dinner at the "Crazy Horse" steakhouse...then back in service in the AM....

That is a very nice T/A.I only stayed there once since 89,recently, and I had the fish dinner that didnt agree with me to well.. but otherwise, a very nice place to hang out. If my memory serves me well, there is a Spam museum around there.Alot of history to that area.Amazing what one can learn when reading while on the crapper.LOL.

I thought the year was starting off right 01/02/2010 picked up a load in Masontown, PA and took it to Woodstock, GA on 01/03/2010. Set in Atlanta for 2 days with nothing deadheaded up to Blackburg, SC at the J 24 hrs here and nothing,
Thinking about becoming a panhandler any of you guys on I-85 get off the ramp and pitch in your pennies in my hat.
Never mind going to wait until it warms up to do that.
