If I may, since this thread seems to deal with where one is parked at the moment (I think?) what exactly are the preferred expediter hang outs? I never see Pilot mentioned. Also what exactly are the ethics and protocols of parking a class 8 KW straight in a t/s? Do they have designated parking? I've never had reason to pay attention to that before.

There was a post a month ago on where not to park, and where to park, do a search for where not to park (I'm too lazy)

As far as parking in general we park same as the T/T's

Shadow, most of the time Pilots are so small that we don't park there, we just stop in for coffee

Finally back in service after the long weekend...grabbed a short load to Chagrin Falls Ohio, dropped and am now Loaded and on my way to Steele AL...straight thru, drop in the AM....seeya....

Most here seem to favor the J's
Parking your straight in a TT space is acceptable, where else would you park it LOL, unlike a van you don't have a whole lot of choices at a truck stop

Took a nice trip up to Coldwater, Mi to the wonderful Wal-mart Distribution only to be denied entrance due to lack of appt#, all they had to do was call traffic, but no, picking up the phone would be too much work. Anyways got paid for a dry run and will re attempt tommorow

If I keep hearin how good the coffee is at the Pilot I just might have to try it. I do the free drivers cup at the J, do a fifty fifty coffee and capucino mix. Hey Panda as far as parking if you see S/Ts up with the RVers park up there T/T get a lil orny if you take the last spot. LMAO better yet get a van and get banned with the rest od us

At the J in Laredo, Sprinter with my logo on the side and the satellite dish on the ground in the parking space next to me.

Be careful which j's you park in the front lot at. Not all welcome you there and want you in back with the big trucks.

They sell alot of coffee at pilot, haven't you ever seen their coffee tankers

Nobody has yet, but sometimes someone will park in front of it and block the signal.

Picked up load in Columbus Ohio this morning going to Newton Iowa stopped at the J in Davenport Ia due to icy roads will put my ice skates on in the morning and try skating to deliver in the morning

BTW I'm sittin at the J west of Atlanta on 20. I don't worry about parking anymore I switched back to a van. When I was in a S/T with FXCC, I always just asked the clerks if there was a problem with parking with RVers if they said yeah then I parked out back with the big boys. Guess I never paid that much attention to the Pilot tankers lol. My boss (for my summer trade) got tired of always having to reset the sat dish so he just bought the one you mount on the roof and it tunes itself in when you park. He said it was like $3k, he said for $2k more he could of got one that will keep tuned in going down the road. Sat TV sure helped kill the down time though, maybe I should get a TV......
