Speaking of the.....
We were talking about you, Murray.
You got quite a following. I only know of one Master whose follower was ready to "fight" for him. But that was apostle Peter and Jesus himself.
I don't know if you are multiplying fish and bread or turning water into wine, but your guys seems to stand behind you.
Whatever you are doing, its working.
Keep it up.

Far from walking on water!!! But I'd love to be able to turn water into beer. :)

I think the only differences I may have compared to some dispatchers, is that I had a couple of years of PSEUDO OTR driving. I was home a lot but I have a great appreciation for how difficult and how boring driving can be at the same time.
And yes, the other difference is that entrepreneurial drive that no food hits the table when we stop making efforts.
CRE is a team. It's not hard to "feel" the gap when we are down a member or three. Whether it's vacations or turnover. Both happen and both are part of business.

But we do truly have a great team!!
Thank you CRE TEAM!!

For clarity: Murray does NOT set the rates! YOU the O/O does! There are NO intrusive policies at CRE into your free time...
1. YOU set your Low ball rate , The, "I am stuck rate"...and the conditions you'd run that for...
2. YOU set what states to exclude...
3. YOU set how many miles your loads you'd like to run....( Murray won't let you run unsafe)

so YOU set what you would like to run for and YOU take the consequences of YOUR choices whether you sit more then the next person....or you get bid around because you are too high for the situation...
Make no doubt Murray WILL advise you on your choices...be it good or bad...:)

I/C really means "Independent"...

OVM, are you starting conversation on rates?
What happened to the cheerleader and pompoms?
Ever thought of being a recruiter? You'd be good at it.

conversation is on choices....rates can vary:)...
Recruiting..if supporting a carrier is cheerleading so be it.....But I feel XPO or Load 1 is a good carrier IF it fits a certain type of person.....IMC, IF setting the record straight is cheerleading...:happyhappy:.:)

Don't know Murray but I think his interviewing and setting standards allows him to hire disciplined drivers.

It's great to have choices, isn't it?... On rates that vary greatly indeed.
I vote for you to be a recruiter/cheerleader at CRE, with Murray approval, of course.

Its hard to find such disciplined drivers...especially ones that can afford to hold their own invoices till they are paid...4-6 weeks...

Great actually..the bigger carriers actually limit those choices by not offering every load available

I think the majority of owner/ops are a pretty disciplined group. Of course the smaller a fleet the easier it is to be picky. As for waiting for pay that's an informed decision one has to make on their own, some may consider it to much of a gamble.

Bingo. Bingo. Bingo.
That's the ticket!!

It only took 5 years to happen, but someone finally publicly hit the nail on the head.

CRE would be SHYTE if it weren't for the fact that the disciplined, self managing, patient, well prepared, entrepreneurial drivers better fit CRE.

I don't TELL interested drivers they need to be that way. But the ones that match seem to be better prepared and a better match.

AGAIN, thank you TEAM CRE!!!

after seeing some small carriers fold up and stiff O/O's it 's a consideration...
all my time with Murray never had an invoice go unpaid...

We don't need a recruiter. Drivers and trucks are either a match or not. If I can't spare enough time to have conversations with interested parties, then I would have NO business being in business. Or at least small business. At some point, growing companies require layers. We aren't. Small works for us, for now. Next year? Who knows. But it's worked for us for 5 years and 3 months and we don't have plans to jack with that.

Many moons ago in my FedEx years I had a load consisting of 8 lathe bits for a machine shop. I was able to put the tiny box in my pocket. I should have taken a picture of it. And the pay on that load would make some of today's expediters gasp for air.

My smallest lightest load ever was way back in my cat days. One regular size mailing envelope.
I felt like the mail man
