Without seeing exactly what it is with dx2, I dont know what to tell you to do exactly.
Understandable, just going to wait till I receive my new programs and run it before I get into replacing more things, got the injector today, but one of the hose connectors wouldn't come off, entire engine coolant came out, as well as one connector not installed, those small black hide fittings for the coolant fluid, so now have to wait till Monday to order a new one.

Hate to tell you this, but those fittings aren't available separately (from Hino, anyway). To get those off easily, first push the fitting onto the def injector, then press in the tabs before trying to pull it off of the injector. I know you can get those things from industrial suppliers, but i don't even know what the hell they're called. I bet if you googled 'def injector quick connect' something will pop up. Those injectors are used by many different manufacturers.

Oddly I got a part number from a dealer that sells Hino, but was finally able to get that last fitting off and get the truck back up and running, so far started it twice, saw scr on the first time but it went away came back and went away, second time came back on and then went away, drove it 120 miles and parked it, so hopefully next time I start it I don't see scr malfunction.
I do notice antifreeze on top of the def tank, is there a line or connection there that could cause that?

Yes, there are two coolant lines at the def tank. I think that warning will be back.

So far so good no warning or anything, I did go over a bump earlier and the weirdest thing happened, had the coil light and check engine light come on then go back off as well as what looked like a loss of power, but the truck didn't shut off or anything.

Also, the side plug to keep the truck warm in the winter pulls how many amps?

You have a super bad connection somewhere. Check the batteries!

I have no idea how much power the block heater consumes.

Batteries are good, no corrosion or anything, I access the batteries to jump cars every few days, and the voltage is half way on the info screen so those are good.

Do you think if I connect two trucks to the same extension cord just with a splitter it'll affect anything? Or would I be good?

You have a bad connection interrupting whole vehicle power with the symptoms you described earlier. These trucks do not like that at all.

On the block heaters: I'm not an electrician.

Wrong filter for the application? Or is it an issue with brand? Ford Brazilian Diesels (6.6, 7.8) had issues with Fram oil filters due to the size of the return holes

It's supposed to be a drop-in cartridge type with a clear plastic housing. This spin-on pictured is for a Cummins and doesn't have the proper micron rating.

A high efficiency, low micron count is essential for keeping water out of the injectors.

This is the correct setup.

Ok like the Hino version of a Raccor fuel water separator. I enjoy reading your responses as I am a former ASE double master auto/ heavy truck tech and you are spot on. You provide a great service here.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

The irony of the second pic is that it's on a truck that blew up.
It lost a wrist pin bushing. A narrow serial number range had improperly sized bushings from the factory. This one made it to 250k miles. Covered under warranty.

Is the air compressor suppose to just release the air like a hose that's not connected properly? All I hear is hissing, not the usual sound from it

Found a hose leaking, is it fixable or has to be replaced?

It's supposed to compress until the governor (on air dryer) unloads it, then the air dryer will pop, followed by about 20 sec of small air purge then stop.

If you can tug on thst hose and get a couple inches of slack, put a new compression fitting on it. Don't overtighten it.

Hose fixed, an unethical way, but hose was leading to the air horn which I don't use, but no longer an issue.

On a different note, received the diagnostic tool, set up and this is what the Hino program looks like.

Yes, that is the older Hino DX program.
