Guy Gets caught breaking into trailers, Killed

It seems that there are several of you that have already decided that either he or they are guilty when there are very few facts that have been given. Even one of our most astute members has chimed in on who seems to be the guilty party. (unless I missed the meaning of what he was saying)

Not a "death enthusiast". Just fed up with a so called "justice system" that is CLEARLY not working. One that seeks ONLY to restrict the rights of law abiding citizens to curb crime while in the same breath putting career criminals back out to commit MORE crimes. If you, or anyone, has a better alternative, lets try it. OTHER WISE, let nature take it's course.

It still would be interesting to know how many in here would STOP the crime that was in progress. Police response is slow, at best. In many areas the crime will have be completed before they arrive. In Detroit, and I be many other big cities, there is a pretty good chance there were cops in on it.

You work at this place, it it being robbed, do you stop it? IF so how?

We know what some WON'T do, what would you DO? Nothing? It would be interesting to know. Does an employee owe stopping a crime to his employer? Not speaking in a legal sense, more like do they have a moral responsibility?

Again, don't want to know what you WON'T do but what you WOULD be willing to do. (this is the generic YOU)

NO..I don't stop it......Not my personal property....I have NO protection under the constitution except the self defense and that would be in doubt because I would have initiated the circumstances....I am NOT under threat of life and limb.....that is what the police are for.... late or not....and that is what theft insurance is for....I'd observe and be the best darned witness I could be....only thing in jeapardy is the property of my employer....

Let someone else do it. That is always the answer. Where in the Constitution does it say that it is the job of the police? Insurance, like the rates that keep going up because of crime? It would be absolutely stupid for me to walk unarmed into a crime...I am untrained in apprehension tactics...I'd be putting my life in harms way to protect what? Like I said.....call 911 and OBSERVE and take notes if possible....and be a Responsible witness....THAT is my duty.

I don't need a deep breath, nor do I need to relax. SOME of those in prison are there solely due to stupid laws, which we keep passing more of. Being a thief, for what ever reason DESERVES prison, anti-theft laws are NOT stupid. NO one has a right to steal. ONE shot, do the FIRST crime, do your time, get out, SECOND time? That's it baby, you are never going to see the light of day again.

You complain about taxes now what do you think that would add to them? Really though someone steals two times a few hundred bucks each time and you think that deserves life? Some just live in a fantasy world.

These 4 Good Men that Triumphed Over Evil have already been Tried and Convicted in said "astute" members Opinion..........

I believe many members here had the same Laxed Opinions towards Criminals and kept saying the same about the Honorable George Zimmerman.........IE.........Convicting and Executing him with their Strong Liberal Opinions..............only to have the Tables Turned when Conservative Common Sense prevailed in our Court System.

Funny Thing...............I almost bet that us here.....the Few Members here on EO that are discussing this...........are PROBABLY the only ones that are actually DISCUSSING this!! Every few hours I do a News search for Charles Lee Bell in St Louis to see if anything New Pops Up.....(I still have a STRONG Inkling that his Health caused his Death and NOT the Dust Up from being subdued by 4 Good Men Battling Evil).......and so far the only 2 Articles even covering it are the 2 Original Articles..........

If the People of St Louis......the People of that area.....His Family.....aren't in an Uproar over this and talking to the Media about 4 men supposedly "Beating" this man to death............then why are WE battling Opinions over it????

Agreeable............But.......

All blame should be put 100% on Charles Lee Bell himself. To be saying....accusing.....these 4 men of "Beating" this man to death......BEFORE.....all the Facts are brought forth.....is Ridiculous.

And then utter the word MURDERERS their way........when referring to them..............Ignorant.

Yes......there have been cases..........Example......when a Person has a Heart Attack and Dies while Defending themselves from an UNPROVOKED Attack...........IE.....a Robbery.......a Family Assault.......Etc.......where the Person that Initiated / Provoked the person to have to Defend themselves were convicted of.....say......Involuntary Manslaughter (Their INTENT to Kill the Person was never proved.....Just their Actions caused the Death)......But.............

Charles Lee Bell clearly Initiated the sequence of events that led to his death..............whether his Intent was just to Get Out of The Cold.....or trying to Steal.....he shouldn't have been on that Property breaking into Trailers in the First Place..........

NOW.......if a Surveillance Tape shows up where it shows 4 Evil men Dragging this man out.....beating him with a Bat.......with their Boots......all High Fiving each other while passing the Blunt back and forth..............of which is what some may believe have happened......took place........then I'll be the FIRST to take back EVERYTHING I have said about Old Charlie myself..........

But.............I am Quite Confident that is NOT going to be the Case.

Also..........with the way the MSM is nowadays.............I hope to HELL that Charles Lee Bell was NOT a Black Guy...........and these 4 Good Men all White Men. That is sure going to make for 1 HUGE Poop Storm of an Exploitation Piece in the MSM.................Know what I mean.

Just a quick question though, lets say one of us has a drop off at a nuclear power facility and after you go threw the proper procedures you proceed into the plant. Lets also say you (by accident) make a wrong turn and get swamped with security personnel because you entered a restricted zone and one of the officers thinks you have a gun an d shoots and kills you. Would that be justifiable? Or excessive force? After all you are trespassing......

If you are referring to this particular astute member, you are incorrect. All I'm doing is balancing out those with zero facts who have enthusiastically jumped to conclusions, with equally zero facts that could have different conclusions. I have absolutely no idea what happened, who did what, or who is guilty of anything. And neither does anyone else here on EO.

We don't know why he was there, what he was doing there, if he was breaking into trailers, if he was trying to steal anything, or even whether he was beaten. We don't know if these 4 men are good or evil, nor do we know anything about the character of Charles Lee Bell. We don't even know if it was 3, or 4 men, who subdued him. All we know is what the 3 or 4 men who are still alive have alleged, that after a struggle with 3 or 4 employees he died, that at 7:35 AM on Sunday it was homicide detectives who were called to the scene, and that the St Louis Homicide Division is investigating the case.

On a side note, a memorial service will be held tomorrow for the broken trailer locks and a fund has been set up in order to clean the blood stained asphalt. Please send your cards, letters and prayers to the slightly damaged concrete.

OK.......we're ALL taking differing paths on this one incident.......that is a.....a..... agreeable.

If you happen to get wind of some sort "Lock" Fund that might get set up to replace the Locks Charles Lee Bell allegedly broke while breaking into those trailers.....Let me know........

If one of the people who subdued him stated in court that Bell stated "I have a gun," then it's not hearsay, it's direct testimony. Hearsay is where the witness does not have direct knowledge of the fact asserted, but knows it only from being told by someone.

If the officer genuinely thinks you have a gun and is about to do him or someone else harm, then the shooting would be justified. However, it would have to be an absolute no-doubter, because you had just passed through security where they should have confiscated any guns you had, so there would be no reason ti think you had a gun unless you actually had one. You wouldn't be trespassing, since they allowed you into the plant.

I had that very thing happen to me once at the Salem/Hope Creek power plant complex. Except, I didn't have a gun and they didn't shoot me. I just made a turn one road too soon and wound up where I wasn't supposed to be. That's why I prefer an escort, or better yet let them come out to the gate and load or unload me. Also, why is it that every time you go to a nuclear power plant it's in the middle of the friggin' night where you can't see anything and you don't know where you're going? I'll often ask for an escort when I get to the gate. That way I'm taken directly to where I need to be, and then led right back out. Easy peasy, no fuss no muss.
