Allen West knows the truth about Benghazi, because he was on an airplane and a guy told him he knew a guy who was there, and that the CIA had been told to stand down, and also people are being threatened, and there was a drawing of schematics, impeach Obama QED.

Today as I returned from Detroit, I had a moment that I truly felt was God sent, as I don’t believe in coincidences. It happened on one of my flights, and it was two hours I will never forget.

I was in the bar at a Columbus, Ohio, Radisson once, taking turns dancing with two hot best friend guys, one black and one white, and they were both like 6’4, and they were beer truck drivers, and it was the best night ever.

I was seated beside someone who personally knew one of the men who was there on the roof in Benghazi. This person was excited to share with me the “ground truth” of what happened September 11, 2012.

After I finished dancing with the two hot guy best friends, I met their other buddy, who had just gotten back from Iraq, and he told me that Halliburton (or KBR, I forget) was sending out empty supply caravans so they could pad their measly undecillion-dollar income.

My seat mate drew schematics to orient me to the "time and spacing" and the direction of the attack. I learned about the repeated orders to the men at the CIA annex to stand down and do nothing — thank God two of them, Glenn Doherty and Ty Woods, lived up to their code of honor and ran to the sound of the guns, resulting in their loss of life — but the preservation of life for others, their fellow Americans.

The guy who had just gotten back from Iraq told me the soldiers were very unhappy to be getting blown up escorting empty supply trains, because they would have been slightly more happy to get blown up if they were actually escorting supplies for their comrades, but they weren’t.

I learned about the proximity of the staging area of the attack to the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, and the attackers were indeed Ansar al-Sharia, a group affiliated with al-Qaida. I came to understand why Ambassador Chris Stevens was there in the first place and that he had in fact requested better security but was denied – the question is, by whom? And I learned that the Martyrs of 17 February Brigade were in charge of security and were the ones who opened the gates, then fled.

I learned there are those who are being threatened with their pensions being cut off if they come forth to speak.

Stupidly, I never wrote about the deathly fraud perpetrated by Halliburton (or was it KBR?), because talking to a guy in a Radisson bar was not really "proof," even though he seemed pretty darned knowledgeable about the whole thing — his MOS was giving soldiers (Marines?) their MOS — but thanks to Allen West, I will never make that mistake again.

But it has everything to do with reporting the truth versus reporting fantasy and calling it the truth. If it is the latter then the credibility of everything you see in the video becomes suspect, including the questions themselves, especially since some of those questions were already answered long before they were asked in the video. It causes the video to come off more like a motivational video than it does the honest reporting of a press conference. As badly as news outlets clamor for content, you'd think at least one of the reporters in the room-filled room could have found a spot for a paragraph or two on it somewhere. Western Journalism isn't even a journalistic news organization, it's a Republican propaganda organ, pumping out feel - good messages of inspiration to the choir, and the choir is eating it up.

American torture hero and semiemployed former congressjerk Allen West is very, very concerned about this "Tammy Duckworth" person having agreed to be on the Big BenghaziPalooza Special Committee, because how can Americans be sure she actually loves America, and is not some kind of legless traitor like Max Cleland?

On Janet Mefferd's wingnut radio show, which we fear our Editrix may start making us listen to, West said,

I just don’t know where her loyalties lie. You know, for her to have been a veteran, a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing. And hopefully, you know, she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat Party.

Heaven knows, one can’t be both a liberal and loyal to the United States. Doesn’t the military oath oblige you to be a Republican anyway? We're pretty sure it does. You can just see in this photo of Duckworth in her helicopter in Iraq that she’s already contemplating ways to betray the United States for the sake of protecting the Democrat Party.

If she really loved America, she’d be pimping a book on Hannity and questioning the loyalties of fellow Americans, the way the Founders wanted.

Should you have the stomach for it, here’s the audio, in which West also notes the unfitness of other committee members like Adam Smith ("one of those geeky little debaters that is going to try to micromanage every single detail") and Linda Sanchez, who is "very whiny." In fact, since Barack Obama sent emails to House Democrats about the IRS, there probably shouldn’t be any Democrats on the committee, as they are all incapable of being as objective and fair-minded as House Republicans.

Watch to see if the VA mess gets a little bit more lip service over the next week or so, then shuffled to the back pages and declared settled just like Benghazi was. Given the inability to differentiate between an apparent inadvertent release of the name of a CIA covert officer by some low-level White House administrative lackey and the obviously intentional release of CIA covert officer - done for quite obvious partisan political purposes (in order to further the lies that took us into an illegal war of aggression) by high government officials - the above might just an example of that "low-information voter" thing we've been hearing so much about lately ... particularly given the abject ignorance displayed about Ms. Plame's employment status with the CIA:

I'd say the ones who have a problem are those who don't think 40 some bipartisan investigations are enough, myself.
And it will "go away", eventually, just like the 'Family Values' platform, when they finally get it through their heads that they're barking up the wrong tree - it just takes them a lot longer to get there. See, they're slow, but they'll catch up, one day.
