What a gorgeous morning this is..I think spring has sprung! Got part of the yard cleaned out and burned some twigs and leaves yesterday and today more of the same, along with getting the summer furniture out and on the deck. And in checking my little seeds this morning, the mini bell peppers, watermelon, petunias and asters are all poking thru the soil. It'll be time to transplant before I know it. And the windows will be flung open today also!

I'm a wee bit stiff this morning..but it almost feels good. Somethin about being outside, sweating a bit under the sun after I've been cooped up all winter. There's always something to do in the spring and summer!

Pepper update...both the jalapeno and banana peppers are sprouting, but the eggplant seeds are still hiding...

I have to give a thumbs up to the Worx vac/blower! It really does the job..after vacuuming up the first pile of leaves I got even smarter...good stiff wind helps too. Started blowing all the leaves up in the air and they're flying out of the yard onto the field across the road.

and they're peeking out now too!

And it's TIME......to get the John Deere out and clean up last years grasses up in the tree line. Just watered the flower beds for the first time. The columbines, iris's and lillies are all poking thru. Sometime in the next week, I need to take my tomato seedlings out of the aero garden and put them in 3" pots. They're about 3 inches high now and developing more leaves.

and it's done...now they look all wilted and not liking the transplant..hopefully they'll get real perky by tomorrow...

I need more rain, less wind and my garden tilled...

so I'm repotting all my peppers this morning....

It's 70 out and my little tomato plants are happily soaking up the sun on the deck...but then again...so am I...

Oh what to do on a cold windy April day that looks like rain, but it'll probably miss us. Good thing I finished the mowing yesterday when it was 80 degrees out.

An interesting observation...all of my female cats are inside snuggled up and snoozing.

All the male cats are outside chasing the wind....

So I just braved the wind to go take a longing look at my garden patch that still needs to be tilled and guess what...I just ate the first of the asparagus and boy was it ever good!

Still too cold to plant so Ken built a small greenhouse so the tomato plants can harden off outside. and the garden will be rototilled today!

Yes it is rototilled now...and man these old bones ache...lol
