Boy oh boy! If I only had the problems you people do to argue about banter or no banter. All of you need to go back re-read your comments and listen to yourselves.
Try looking at this from an outsiders eyes. If I was a first time visiter to EO you bet it would be my last visit here. Obviously some people have to much time on their hands. Try using the time you have wasted arguing ( for lack of a better term ) and do something positive with it. Call a family member, polish your truck, watch the grass grow, go for a walk.
Point I am trying to make is that there is FAR to many other serious problems in life to worry about than this type of BANTER! Life is to short. ( remember Jerry in the sprinter ) It changes in a split second. Live it to the best and find positive things to do with your time. Even if your stuck in a truck stop for a long holiday weekend. There are still many positive things that you can do! Cmon everyone lets get back to what this site is really all about!
Some of you will bash me for what I have said and thats fine. But deep down whether you want to admit it or not you know I am right about what I have said! You people are ALL better than this!
I have to agree with you, it has gotten pretty riduculous and I admit I have had a part in it. From an outsiders point of view it would seem to be childish. It is a holiday weekend though and alot of people have way to much time on their hand, and that is including me!!!

My official position is: I don't support the "experimental thread" with that said I won't use it.....BUT anyone who happens to agree with it ..I have no problem with that either....to each their own....and I am done with it....

I'm such a drinker had a twelve pack minus a couple in the fridge for about 3 months

Sorry, my time is valuable and I didn't feel like reading all the banter involved. It's only valuable if you think that sitting in the bunk at the Hook, doing nothing but reading this.
All that aside, here's an idea. Take a couple minutes, should you see fit, and create your own threads as you deem time/security/socialization appropriate. No one is asking for another to give up their security secrets, or their favorite taco stand. Forget the location/banter posts (if you see fit) and make your own stating where you are in the correct thread setting. If no one wants to read it, then no harm, no foul. It's a pretty simple way of avoiding what some consider the thought police and others consider a waste of time.

It's not something that everyone <must> do to survive on the site. Just if you feel like it. Not everyone wants to (for the reasons so eloquently stated by various individuals), and that's just perfect. If someone does, I don't see why it has to fit into one, specific, defined thread/post. Unless that's what the admin/mods want to do with it. In which case, you may delete my posts as you will.
