The law of averages has certainly helped get me where I am today. Well that and being leased to best carrier EVER who is TEAM oriented and truly wants us to succeed.

A percentage of the fleet is always out of service. That is a pretty consistent. So that goes back to the averages being the real number any business man runs on. That is true whether it is Load One or our owner operators. It is a pretty basic business concept.

I agree....to some extent..over a longer term then say 30 days even 60 days....the variable must be spread over a longer term to be viable numbers for the cohesion of the overall equation....

The yard can be very deceiving when you look at the Mac 19. The local trucks and the Canadian units can completely distort it.
Long term that works....short term numbers don't support that theory....
If you don't use averages not only will you drive yourself crazy but possibly a CEO too.

why should I run off the average of someone else's numbers?....you are jacking the numbers whether they be good numbers or bad numbers....they can be used as a tool/guideline but not to set policies toward or hold gospel....and yes I question the logic...
