And those locomotives in their shops are MUCH bigger when standing 10' from them than when sitting in your car at a rail crossing. Massive!

In Nashville I went into a hanger type building where they had "problematic" locomotives. I was 3 feet away from one that killed 4 people and it was massive. Makes a tractor look small

A train yard in the dark of night...those freight cars quietly gliding to their destined rails...NO warnings No bells NO horns...like a shadow slipping thru the night air.....look right, look left, speed up, slow down....look out you almost there....twilight zone.....

I used to cut through a train yard, on foot, when I worked out of US Steel in Gary, In.

Very scary in the fog.

dang sprinters...I love mine...BUT they are like your kids...frustrating....the last week or so it's starting has been well not so stellar....BUT then again my starting battery is between 2-3 years old,,,that is about the lifespan for us....last couple of days I've doubted it will start...this morning...wham bang first turn over....it starts and runs as smooth as a babies bum...I was expecting to have to boost it.....Sprinters have this protection of NOT starting if only down an amp to protect the starter.....

Parked on the street in DC. If I have some extra time tomorrow I'll see if I can get some things straightened out around here.
