Because big trucks just scar them up or knock them over.

Too bad that so many drivers who aren't aware of their surroundings or just cant plainly back up without hitting something screw it up for the rest of us.I mean, c'mon, someone can't see a tree when backing up? They shouldnt be driving in the first place.

Heading out to SC on a load. I just love the WV turnpike this time of the year.

Like a New NEW GPS ...:)
I have to ask... did your GPS allow you to choose your route ?
you had 4 options : (the one you took , Duluth , UP, far east)
or did you had to use your laptop to compare routs ?

We ran the new unit along with the laptop. The new unit is by far more accurate than the laptop system. We really liked the feature that informed you what lane to get into in advance of a road change. It was always spot on and really made it an easy go.

Speaking of trees: I remember reading about the "world's most remote tree" somewhere in the Sahara Desert. It is/was like 150 miles from the nearest tree. Anyhow, suppposedly, a drunk Libyian RAN INTO IT(he was driving a Jeep)!!! Trees are not safe, no matter where they are.

Laredo, Texas, keeping TJ's parking spot warm.

Funny you mention that stretch of I29, OVM. I ran that a couple of times the last few weeks.

Knocking on wood, we have been usually running at least 24 hours after significant snowfalls for the last 2 months.

Good weather for the economy!! All those mom and pop snow plow people are doing gang busters!! So are the bait and tackle shops, lots of good ice fishing this year!! The salt mines are all working overtime as are the salt trucks. Not to mention the increase in business at auto body shops!! The ski resorts are making money too!! Man, talk about a stimulus package!! :D We should have more winters like this one!!

Yup....I was on that stretch a mere 2 weeks ago. It was COLD! -8 F actual temp. Windchill -17F and ice fog. (very bad for a heater).

Headed down to Jacksonville Florida area for the GPSNet Expedite Alliance Conference this weekend. Load One is the Platinum Sponsor again this year. Should be a good time with the other carriers. Sure do wish the weather was going to be better.
