Well it looks like it is KC for the rest of the weekend. So, since i am clean, I took a shower...think i'll jead to the "Ameristar Casino " for dinner and some fun....its just 1 exit up the rd from the J....seeya later...
Considering the weather last week managed to chalk up 2183 loaded miles...a slight improvement 112 miles from the week before...
will be in KC 2 morrow about suppertime Denis...unloading at GM on Monday and going HOME!!

We are currently at the Pilot in Dexter, MI. We are awaiting clearance to cross the border. Getting itchy. This load was picked up on Friday. Oh how I hope we don't have to sit on this till Monday.
Welp, leavin ohio now for Shreveport, LA should be there around midnight or so...Ya'll be safe...The Party will be in Shreveport on Monday!!! Oh and Go Brad Keslowski, Bobby Labonte, and Regan Smith at the Daytona 500 today!!!

We got our border clearance!! Leaving in a few minutes. We were only 60 miles from the house. I wish I could have stopped just for a minute, there were a couple of things that I could have picked up for the truck.

Dang!.....I'll take it...you want me to dh how far?!...LOL I just ran a load from New Kensington, PA to Fremont, Ohio for 207 yesterday. waiting at moms. It would sure be nice to wait on a load at your own place....I haven't seen the house since the day after Christmas...

Finished another good week got load from Charlotte to Kansas city and then got another load KC to Dayton Ohio now hanging out at the Landstar (yard) homeless shelter in Jefferson Georgia so I can go to a meeting on Monday for new drivers with 90+ days with the company. January and so far Feb have been good for me, hope it keeps going

I have to ask... did your GPS allow you to choose your route ?
you had 4 options : (the one you took , Duluth , UP, far east)
or did you had to use your laptop to compare routs ?

I talked with LOS about this...unfortunately Fedex picks the routing for most WG loads...he had no choice...
Now in Oak Grove Mo exit 28 at the Petro..NEVER that crap hole of a J in the city.

My downfall while being at the Petro there has always been the restaurant as well as the chrome shop.I always enjoyed staying there.But in the summer time I enjoy the J area because there are several spots that I have found where I can put the truck in the shade, making it more enjoyable while the truck is turned off.Also less highway noise compared to Oak Grove.Why don't they put more trees in truckstops to begin with? Most definately would benefit everyone for several reasons.

OMG ... recently (2005) the 5 county's that make the M.N metro area came up with this green BS , and now every dern parking lot need to be covered with something like 20% trees islands ...
it used to be a truck friendly metro ...
i actually think that Minnesota where the first one to come up with "Crap&Trade" as if you need a truck parking you can trade that space , and cover , lets say ,the front of the building with more trees .
just incase any of you wondered why they don't rebuild parking lots or building new parking spaces in the metro area...
