I have no doubt that NBC will put forth a VERY accurate picture of an EMP event. ONLY NBC news could do better! I don't think I will watch it, don't like comedy shows.

Who is living in paranoia? I have just done a little prep, not different than insuring you have enough wood for heat in the winter. I guess there is no need for storm cellars out there either.

Not being paranoid at all.....just being prepared for the unknown...with waiting to deal with it then....there maybe no resources to deal with it..I am NOT waiting/expecting the government to help me.

not a big investment, not a lot of room taken up...and can be used in regular emergencies as well....

Hey it is not a perfect plan.....LOL... I be reading the effects of an EMP blast are diminished over distance.....I might get lucky...who knows...

IF it is a man made event. A natural EMP event could be much more wide spread. There is no 'perfect plan'. That is why I have enough hunting and fishing supplies. I have ample access to water. What I REALLY need is my own island. Just a small one, about 10 square miles would do!
The question I want an answer to is, who is going to power the bike to run the alternator?
