Actually, what it states is how terrified the Saudis are at their own precarious domestic position, in context of the events in Egypt ... given that the regimes are similar in certain ways ... indeed not very good ones (authoritarian/totalitarian, brutally repressive, etc.)

The Saudis own time may be coming as well .. perhaps sooner than later ....

I think Dave that most of what's going on in Egypt is not even known to the people in Egypt at any level let alone the rest of the world.

This isn't any crisis as many make it out as but rather somewhat of an external struggle between a few parties to wrestle control over the influence of the country.

The administration is scared, proven by the point of scattered and open confusion about the situation.

The sad thing is that the one group that will really lose will be the Egyptian people, their government will not be a free one regardless what happens, someone will have to fill the void if the government topples and that will be the military who will shut the country down.
