It would maybe be interesting to note that recently I attended a social gathering at my private lake and a "new" resident said she was at a gathering the nite before and that "everyone" waz there. I asked whom "everyone" wuz.....an she replied "everyone"....an I says nope....I wern't there.

And after checking your profile,I had the opportunity to read many of your blatherings...err I mean posts and this phrase "childish" and "childish behavior" appears to be a mainstay in quite a few of them. Maybe it is time to give that one a rest and come up with something else

Well, this confirms my paranoid belief that I'm a NOBODY. I try to catch the Daily Show every night. If not at 11:00 pm, then the next day, on the internet machine.
I also believe in trying to watch shows that offer a differing opinion; not just what supports "my side".

Of course, the alternative would be just not bothering to make any effort whatsoever to count, quantify, or otherwise measure any subject or matter of interest ..... and just simply make something up and then say that ...

Some folks have so much invested that the possibility that they might be mistaken, incorrect, or the absolute worst - utterly wrong - is an idea which is absolutely abhorrent on it's face .... and so they are less inclined to look .....
Of course, such a stance by it's own nature, inherently and immediately, deprives the individual of the virtues of observation.
A case can be made for anything I suppose ...... but I gotta think that making a case that by being less observant, less aware, less informed one is somehow better off ... would be a fairly difficult "row to hoe" so to speak ....
