That brings up a good question - would you pick up the part and deliver it to someone if you are going that way?

I would have, when I left Cleveland yesterday, but I wasn't going through Ky.
Am back in the truck after a week in snow country [in a 4 wheeler], and guess what? SC is snow country too, right now.

Home, been sleeping all day! We made it home Thursday evening. I have been sick since Wednesday. Now that I don't have any obligations I thought I would get some rest. Had to turn down a run, just feel like crap. Throat very sore. It feels like it is closing on me and can't breath at night when I go to bed. I sure hope this ends soon.

Well, one thing leads to another, so I've been told. #2 son and his wife made it home for Christmas and made it back to VA with no worries. Now I have the creeping crawling crud, wife likes it since I am lossing my voice. Zero miles for the month of Dec., guess you have to be in service to get miles, but, like I said one thing leads to another... Plan was to go back in service Jan 3rd, looks like that may not happen either. Shoot for March 1st!

I just woke up from driving 1030 miles in approxiately 17 hours. That includes 3 fuel stops, one restroom stop, and 20 minutes at the Indian River Casino where I won 28 dollars off of three dollars. I averaged 60 mph and I wasn't even under a load. I am just that darn good y'all! I hope you guys are staying safe and warm back east. As for me, i'll continue my working vacation here out west, pulling my local runs, and hunkering down until spring arrives to greet my van with warm weather and passable roads. My mom enjoyed being locked in the passenger seat for 17 hours straight. I think she has expediter in her blood too!! lol

Just sitting here, in service, waiting for the phone to ring.

I had the best paying load over the Christmas. I picked up a load in Knoxville and was on my way to deliver to Chicago, and I was thinking of deadheading home after the delivery. Well, dispatch did not agree with me, so I got an offer from Chicago delivering Sunday after Christmas to Florida. Picked it up, got home Friday, spent Christmas with family and delivered on Sunday. Stayed out of snow also. Great end of the year.

Still @ home...the 10th is looking better all the time...:D

What happened to the 14th? It's in youre blood, isnt it?

woke up and started the van and it started making a God awful noise, popped the hood to find the vacuum pump that i replaced 4 months ago,38,992 miles ago, was coming apart, throwing aluminum shavings everywhere.Found the pump at o'reilleys, started it up to get it, and it shredded the serpentine belt...made it to the truckstop behind Wal-Mart and had them replace it and the belt.So much for oem parts..all is good now. That truckstop may be a dive, but 50 bucks an hour labor, and a little creative communication between us, and i am happy.I've always had them do work on my trucks, with no problems afterwards.
