I think most of the good members that actively post would have dumped that load as well....did they offer you more then your regular rate?.....you don't get Sprinter type prices normally....
You know how those rates go .. the so called spr. rates now use to be Cargo van rates a few years back .... before the rates spiral down the crapper effect ...

Yes....now we do straight truck loads for CV rates....if its a dime higher then CV rate, the dispatcher calls it a great rate!! Really?...LOL

Yeah, we were thinking for our rates to have gotten so low, we haven't seen on the national news where shipping rates have drastically dropped!

Hmmm, that's it for the big snow storm? Guess I got lucky. Got maybe 3-4 inches of light fluffy snow. No match for even my wimpy snow thrower. I guess compared to the last storm, this one was nothing

when I come out in January I am DHing right to south Texas...and staying there till March at least...do all local loads back and forth along the border....from El Paso to Brownsville...

I'll be good with the Mid-South,

I am thinking nothing north of Dallas, Houston...a nice neat triangle...2 loads a week would be enough for me....

I got my doubts that the mid south will work for me since the one dispatcher that work me hard in Tennessee to Arkansas to Illinois back to Dayton has moved on but I can still dream for free!

Nope...but I think it can work..with the right carrier and the right rate....It is feasible...because I don't need a ton of miles per week either and the longest run would be 1200 miles from El Paso to Brownsville...and I don't have to deal with 40 or so people in an office NOT reading the NOTES and calling me on every other load ops...

Deadheading right to south Texas .... right .... did you hear I won the Powerball ...

The Triangle you are talking about could also be called the Texas-Bermuda triangle .... with 1000 other Expediters thinking the same way .... go into this tri-angle and Disappear ... freight availability that is
So basically, your planning on staying in Texas? Have you tried this before?
