Still don't feel too hot, but we did a run: Broken Arrow, OK to West Columbia, SC. Now at the J nearby....Moved to Tulsa, now sick as a dog. Back at it tomorrow.
My load info came over and ....... Nope that load is Not going on my Van .... 300 lbs. Over my weight limit .... when load was bid on it was 3 skids 1500 lbs.... after awarded shipper raised the weight to 3300 lbs.... 2nd shift dispatch didn't catch the weight difference .... Others may do it with their sprinter-type vans and thats their choice .... Nope not me ...i don't haul Straight Truck loads for Sprinter type prices ...

The office called the shipper last night and got verification ... at least 3300 lbs maybe closer to 5000 lbs by time parts were finish being run .... glad i caught it now ... if waited 2 days for load and then dry runned i might have been unhappy .... lolIf it was a short DH I'd go and check out the freight. Picked one up in Janesville WI that was bid as 3 @ 1,100. Got there and the BOL said 3 @ 3,300. But even thou the BOL said too heavy, I could easily push the pallets inside my van. No way that these pallets were over weight. Guessing the dock help tells the office, they weigh 1,100 and the office thinks that's each skid.

I think most of the good members that actively post would have dumped that load as well....did they offer you more then your regular rate?.....you don't get Sprinter type prices normally....My load info came over and ....... You know how those rates go .. the so called spr. rates now use to be Cargo van rates a few years back .... before the rates spiral down the crapper effect ...I think most of the good members that actively post would have dumped that load as well....did they offer you more then your regular rate?.....you don't get Sprinter type prices normally....
Yes....now we do straight truck loads for CV rates....if its a dime higher then CV rate, the dispatcher calls it a great rate!!
