Anyone you vote for on a national level is going to be beholded to someone, It cost so much money to run for office that anyone who gives to your campaign is going to come back asking for something.

So, are you willing to accept what is going on? Are you willing to sit back and take what happens? Would you fight if needed? I really want to know what your ideas are.

I believe this can be fixed IF we take back control of our government. I believe that a civil war CAN be avoided but NOT if we just sit back and try nothing. I will not, however, live under the control of ANY government and will fight if needed.

We all need to take a stance, one way or the other. Fence sitting and wishy washy attitudes are why we are at this point today. Too many for too long have voted for a "party" or because this group or that group "suggested" that we vote a given way. Keep in mind, a "special interest group" is just a bunch of people with ideas that you don't agree with. Everybody has "special interests".

Well, I guess to make everything equal you would have to have nothing but public finance of a campaign where everyone can only spend a set amount of money{ yes i can see the abuses of that} so that special interest dont control elections.

So what are you going to do? Vote? Not vote? Vote against everyone in office now or vote the same as always? Can we ever expect a different outcome if we continue to do that same things we have always done?

Example: you drop a bowling ball on your foot, it hurts. You do it again, time in and time out, you keep hoping that your foot will stop hurting but you keep dropping the ball on it. Will it ever stop hurting if you continue to drop the ball on it? Will it finally heal and stop hurting if you stop dropping the ball on it?

That is where I believe we are at. That simple in my mind.

You will be doing the same thing on a national level and even a local level cause money controls elections no matter who you vote for. Until you take out the money and make everyone equal on a financial level who is running for office, nothing will change. If you could win a spot in office without being beholded to a group you could vote with what you believe is right without worrying about who is going to stop giving to your next campaign

So you are just going to throw your hands up and give up. How sad. Either that or you in total agreement with what is going on. How sad that would be too. I am not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I don't accept what is going on and will do what I can to change it. I don't give up or in that easy.

How do I know that they will be unless I give it a shot? I KNOW what I have is beholding to others. 99% of my corrupt congressman's money comes from outside the state. At least so far, anyone running against him has local funding. THAT would be a GREAT improvement. Not that is matters, our local politics will NEVER allow for change. Unless the auto industry and U of M both go away.

You still didnt answer, How is voting eveyone out going to change things when you are voting for the same crowd, especialy on a national level? As long as special interests and companies give to a campaign, local funding or not, they expect something in return.

I did answer. Right now, in my congressional district, the candidates that I am aware of that are running against my congressman are running on all local money. So far, at least, they are NOT the same crowd. Besides, even if we just change one scumbag for another and then keep exchanging scumbags election in and election out sooner or latter the "big money" will give up.

I cannot speak for anywhere else, my only power is in the district in which I live. There is nothing more I can do. I have to vote local. I KNOW my congressman is corrupt. I only have 3 choices: 1. Vote him back in 2. Vote him out 3. Don't vote.

Option 1 insures that things cannot change, so does 3. Only option 2 holds any chance.

Besides, if I don't vote I have NO real right to complain since I did NOTHING!! If you can't complain about politics what is the point of having it?
