I'm going to Google Search "Carol from the Walking Dead"... Because I don't know anything about her!
How am I like her in your opinion?
You actually look like her character. She has the same hair style. In the beginning of the series she is married to guy who beats her. By the current season of the show she has turned into the toughest character on the entire show. She has transformed into a very tough survivor!

I saw that! I used to have long hair but I cut it off for ease of being otr. I like Jamie Lee Curtis' Hair Cut and did the best I could. I see why men have short hair! MUCH, MUCH easier!
Several People have said I should write a Book...My Story. I'm not a writer, but an Artist. I wish a writer could interview me and I could hire them to write my book.
So tell me Blizzard, who do you drive for? I'm trying to understand. Sounds like you Drive AND Dispatch. Are you a Fleet Owner?

May I inquire as to why you left Driving to Dispatch? Sounds like you'd rather be out here with us? ...or do you do both?

I left bolt in 2010, then I tried doing the milti-carrier deal for a while before eventually starting my own company. A few months after I started my own company, I fell off my truck while making a local delivery. I ended up getting massive blood clots in my entire right leg and both of my lungs clotted up. My health has taken a downhill turn since then. I now suffer from chronic leg pain from where the blood clots have damaged my veins. I take pain medication daily just to function now. I don't think anyone would hire me to drive while on prescription pain medication. I am used to the med and could technically drive without any problems, but I choose not to even drive a personal vehicle at this point in time.

I love to drive. I used to drive Los Angeles to Detroit in 47 hours. I even got 5 hours of sleep in between each 1000 mile stretch. My heart is still on the road. Now for the past three years I've been cooped up in this house with all of these medical issues to deal with. I tried to get disability but I was denied because I'm not sick enough and too young so I do what I can to get by these days. If it wasn't for family, I would be out on the street. I had to sell my van last year because I was having trouble climbing into and out of it. Some day I hope to drive again if my pain situation gets any better. And that is how I got to where I'm at today!

I cut my own hair too now. I just shave it all off just like the military does lol. I don't drive anymore. I only drove one time in the past three years. It's kind of funny to not drive now after driving 100k miles a year for quite a few years.

Man, you've had a real tough go of it!!! I can't imagine and am ticked you couldn't get help via Disability. Could a different doctor help push harder for it? For 3 years you've been suffering! Crap! I'm sorry for your injury, that you're in constant pain and aren't able to drive right now. Hopefully one day soon, some kind of surgery or SOMETHING can alleviate your pain and open that blood flow up. Just get the pain gone, flow and function back! Are you taking blood thinners then? You are a Plethera of information. I'm glad you have help, have a support system and sounds like an awesome family! Glad you Post here. It's helpful, thanks.

I take more pills than the old folks do lol. Disability will not help me until my leg develops open wounds which is about ten or so years away for me right now. The only thing the last scan showed is that my Popliteal vein is almost completely occluded. One doctor said not to mess with it by surgery or it will get worse, while another doctor said that my pain is not coming from my veins. There are surgeries that can be done, but it would cost 100k out of pocket. I simply can't afford that. I take blood thinners, meds for diabetes. meds for high cholesterol, and I might need to take some immunosuppressant's for my clotting disorder in the future. I take two different pain meds. One is a long acting and the other is a short acting for breakthrough pain. I can deal with the pain as long as I have meds for it. If they ever took my pain meds away, which does happen from time to time because some of my doctors don't like prescribing them, it is hard to deal with. If it wasn't for the pain meds, I would drive again. All I need is to take a blood test every two weeks to check how well the blood thinners are working. I can do this anywhere in the country and then have my doc adjust my meds by phone. With the pain meds, you have to see the pain doctor every month like clockworks. That would be hard to do on the road. I tried no pain meds for two weeks, and the I have to stay on the couch all day to alleviate the pain. No one can live their life on the couch!

I too LOVE to drive, always have. Can't imagine NOT driving. Feel for Ya.
My Mom was so cool! When I was 14, she'd be in the driver's seat and let me get my foot over to work the gas and brakes and steer every time it was just she and I going somewhere.
What kind of Truck did you Drive? Why did you leave Bolt may I ask? I miss my motorcycle, but sold it to grow my emergency fund larger. Miss my Freightliner Cascadia, maneuvering and backing. USXpress .25 cents per mile. I Retain my Class A. I have my Folk's 5 Speed 1996 Nissan 300 ZX to tool around in when home. Good Memories of Mom and Dad in it with the T Top off going up and down Route 1 in California.
I use an old buzzer too up the back and then finger lift and cut my hair. Saves $20 bucks a Month and I can sculpt it the way I want it. Wish I could do like you and just buzz it all off! I like quick and easy...too many other enjoyable things to do than foolin with hair!

I used to driver a freightliner with ten speed transmission. My van was a chevy express extended van. Nothing special. I left bolt to try out the multi-carrier deal.

Geez Blizzard, I'm glad the meds do help to manage your pain. Absolutely, that is no life having to lay on a couch all day to deal with it. I hope some type of solution comes about for you in the near future to get your clot issues alleviated and off of the pain Meds or most of them. Shall remain hopeful for you Man!

Good Morning from WV. Still in service waiting for the big one! Meanwhile, I am stuck at home "helping" my wife pack and prepare for our move. Has any man out there ever attempted to work with his wife while she is packing dishes? You start with a glass that is 3" round and 8" tall and end up with something the size of a watermelon!! Oh, if only I had learned to just accept it. Please Dispatch, get me out of here for my sanity.

Today's excitement is watching the grounds keeper tear out a bush that my dog has slowly killed over the past few years.
Is the 'Grounds Keeper' YOU???
Here's how I removed a Row of 5' tall Yews a few years ago to open up my tiny yard...oh, what I get myself into, never ceases to amaze! I am my Father's Daughter! LOL
