You'll fry the transmission because the transmission oil doesn't circulate when it's towed. If you cannot or do not remove the drive shaft, then it's 35 miles max, and at 35 MPH max. They don't take a drive shaft out on a car, why would they a van?.....

Don't know about the new Sprinter's drive shaft, but the older ones are just 4 bolts. Easy to get off. Then tie the shaft off to the underside of the van with a bungy cord or something. Getting older ones in Neutral is easy without power, too, just stick a pencil or a screw driver in that little recessed area right below the -D+ on the shifter.
37 minutes of Roadside Inspection videos for something that a van driver doesn't have to deal with. Awesome. I really like it when you watch the video and then the tests don't pop up, so you have to watch the video again with all of your Javascript and other security features turned off so that the Web site can take control of your computer.

They might be thinking a set of them and different maxxs have a different setup....maybe Chefs will give ya his VIN #?....or just tell them any old set will do?LOL
Just have a flatbed truck pick ya up...He didn't get over 30 mph and drove maybe 3 miles so don't think any damage was done. But he has never saw the star bit they used for the driveshaft and he said he tows a good bit of them. Also called his buddy who brought a service truck over and they didn't have it nether. Might be worth it to buy one and keep it stored away just in case one day lol
