Anyone know how much it is to replace a starter on a Sprinter?

My Sprinter has been hard starting for a while, and now I think the starter is going. Anyone know how much it is to replace? Looks like I'll have to get it done at a dealership. If it's not one thing it's another with this **** thing :(

About the same amount as buying a used GM or Ford CV. LOL. Sorry, it just came out.

I would guess, 800 bucks.

I remember a cousin coming out of a bar to find someone had stolen the
driveshaft to his jacked-up Blazer.
Don't know if it was a prank or highly discounted parts acquisition.

Are you guys going to have to have secure parking to feel safe walking away from your $printer$ ?

A starter any shop can replace. I would check orielly nappa etc and see if they have an aftermarket then call some shops. What year is it?

We got ours from Napa and installed it ourselves. We opted for the lifetime warranty one. They honor the warranty anywhere in the nation as long as you have your receipt. We kept ours in the glovebox for that purpose. We had bought it in Houston, warrantied it in Michigan. It is very easy to change out, if youre somewhere you wont freeze to the ground trying to do it.

If you haven't replaced the belt lately I would have them do that and pullys while its loose would save money in the long run.
