And Barry will TALK

Iran test fired another long range missle. One that is capable of carrying the nukes that they are building. Should we be worried? Nope, not with King PUTZ the 1st in charge. We can rest assured that he will have stern words for them and maybe even threaten tougher sanctions. Man, that would sure scare me if I was there.

To be fair, Barry is really bogged down with the much greater threat to our safety called "Climate Change". He is also tied up with forcing a Nation Un-Healthy system on us. He just does not time to do the job he should be doing. Like insuring the defense of the Nation. After all, that is required of him under our Constitution and the rest is not!!!

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran successfully test-fired a long-range, upgraded Sejil 2 missile on Wednesday, state television reported, a move likely to add to tension with Western powers worried by Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the launch was of serious concern to the international community and underlined the case for tougher sanctions against Iran, the world's fifth-largest oil exporter.

Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the test was part of efforts to boost the country's deterrent capabilities
Al Alam, Iran's Arabic-language satellite television, said the two-stage, solid fuel Sejil missile had a longer range than the Islamic Republic's Shahab model.

Iranian officials have in the past said the Shahab 3 missile can reach targets up to 2,000 km (1,250 miles) away. Such a range would put Israel and U.S. bases in the Gulf within reach.
The missile test coincides with increased tension over Iran's nuclear program, which the West fears is aimed at making bombs. Iran denies the charge.

Neither Israel nor the United States have ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to resolve the dispute. Iran has vowed to retaliate against any attack.

State television showed a missile launched from desert-like terrain soaring into the sky with a long vapor trail.
"Iran successfully tests optimized version of Sejil 2 missile," it said in a breaking news headline.

Vahidi said the missile, which he said was developed by Iranian scientists, needed a shorter launch time and was more accurate than the previous version, state television said.
The test came a day after the U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation to impose sanctions on foreign companies that help supply gasoline to Iran, a measure lawmakers hope would deter Tehran from pursuing its nuclear work.

"SERIOUS CONCERN"

Iran has repeatedly shrugged off the impact of such punitive measures, that include three rounds of limited U.N. sanctions since 2006.

In Copenhagen, Britain's Brown said after meeting U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon: "I have expressed to him and he has also expressed concern about the test of a long-range missile by Iran.

"This is a matter of serious concern to the international community and it does make the case for us moving further on sanctions ... We will treat this with the seriousness it deserves."

In September, Iran test-fired missiles which a commander said could reach any regional target. The White House branded those tests "provocative."

Washington suspects Iran is trying to develop nuclear bomb capability and has previously expressed concern about Tehran's missile program. Iran says its nuclear work is solely for generating peaceful electricity.

Earlier this week, diplomats said intelligence suggested that Iran worked on testing a key atomic bomb component as recently as 2007, a finding which if proven would clash with Iran's assertion its nuclear work is for civilian use.

Iran's Foreign Ministry rejected the claim as "baseless."
On Tuesday, Israeli military intelligence chief Major-General Amos Yadlin said: "Iran is striving to improve it surface-to-surface missile capability. It is developing missiles propelled by solid fuel and is expanding their range to other continents."
The United States and five other major powers said on Tuesday that a planned meeting on Iran's nuclear program will not take place this year because of scheduling conflicts, although consultations will continue by telephone.

In October, negotiators offered a deal under which Iran would send most of its low-enriched uranium abroad for further enrichment. However, Tehran has backed away from it, raising the prospect of additional sanctions.

I guess that we need not worry too much, after all, he is going to sign away our nation to solve climate change. Iranian intelligence is most likely going to get access to our Top Secret stuff anyway under Barry's new clearance laws.

OH boy, more sanctions, I will sleep so much better tonight knowing that. She is another real piece of work. No experience what so ever. Of course, that does fit in with the rest of this administration.

I will use one of my seldom used Internet Super Powers (ISP) and appoint Layout as The President of the United Internet States of America (UISA) for the period of one month. If you do a great job your term could be extended an additional five business days.

Now how are you going to solve the problem of Iran, and will we be able to use the same solution for the North Korea problem as well.

By the way all tho I tried to inject some humor into the question, it is a serious question. If you were the the man in charge (was going to post the old military abbreviation) what would your course of action be.

Revoke all travel visas--any Iranian attending university here---pack up your stuff and head back. Let Iran know that we won't hold Israel back. If Israel decides to go after Iran---oh well--should have listened to us when you had the chance.
Face it the Israelis have the strength and conviction to do what needs to be done to protect their soverignty. If we aren't up to the task, then we should get out of the way of those that are.

yea i know it's hard to believe, but there are large groups out there that want 75-80% of the world dead just because they don't have the same religion,it's just a matter of where on there top ten list your at as to whom they kill today.

Their are basically to course of action that you can take, the peace at all cost road which is do nothing and maybe even try to appease them for a time, there by giving them more time to get bigger and stronger and figure out just how they can kill more of the people on there list(read most of the rest of the planet)

or ...

You grow up and realize they already want us dead because, we are, well breathing ,A godless hoard breathing the pure air given to them by Allah.Outside of joining there religion there is nothing you or anybody can do yo change there minds, heck there are even Muslims on there list of people to kill because they have lost the way and are not wholesome enough so even converting is no guarantee .so really your left with one choice total liquidation of the problem it's a horrible solution but really the only choice left to us.

you try mixing the two as we will do and you give them time to figure out how to kill more so being a pacifist ends up costing more lives than it saves(as this course of action always has done)

but there are large groups out there that want 75-80% of the world dead
Large groups ?

Large ..... as compared to what ?

The entirety of humanity ?

A continent ?

A small country ?

A population of a fair sized city ?

Maybe your local volunteer fire department ?

Interestingly, after reviewing your complete statement, I am having trouble escaping from the thought that you might be one of them (the part that wants a substantial portion of humanity dead)

Their are basically to course of action that you can take,
The fact that you can only conceive that there are two courses of action even possible immediately tells us the following:

1. When it comes to making a choice between expediting, or going into matters of statecraft, diplomacy, and national security ... you probably better not quit the day job.

2. Rational thought might not be one of your strong suits.

3. Multiple question tests, with more than two (that's 2, not "to") possible answers may pose difficulties and cause confusion in your particular case.

..... so really your left with one choice: total liquidation of the problem - it's a horrible solution but really the only choice left to us.
Congratulations ..... in light of your statements an emergency, early voting session was held and the vote is in - it was determined by the judges that by this one statement alone, you have succeeded in winning:

The EO Soapbox "Most Utterly Retarded Statement Of The Week"

You are the first person ever to have caused a deviation from our normal procedures resulting in an early vote and selection.

It isn't highly likely that anyone will be able exceed the level of sheer lunacy that you have managed to display ... but then this is The EO Soapbox™ ... and the fine inhabitants have managed to fool our select panel of judges before .... so ya never know .....

Of course, the judges reserve the right to cancel the award at any time and award it to someone else, should someone else lower themselves to the occasion.

Uttering such a statement truly ranks you right down there with other similar advocates of "Only One (Final ?) Solutions" like Adolph Hilter, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, and no doubt numerous others of similar fine character.

BTW, you are now in a very good position to secure the coveted:

EO Soapbox "Most Utterly Retarded Statement Of The Year"

The standard notice sent out to all who are in contention reads, in part, as follows:

"Congratulations Contender - you indeed are in the running - outstanding job !

We'll keep you informed of how the yearly contest is shaping up as things progress in the next week or two and inform you if you should consider renting a fresh pair of bib overalls and underwear (as well as foregoing normal tradition and taking the yearly shower a wee bit little early, before the spring thaw arrives) for the formal presentation.

Best of luck.

PS: Did I mention that the Grand Prize is a paid ticket to an exotic foreign land (unspecified) where you will have the opportunity and honor to present a lecture entitled "New Directions In Nazism: Where Adolph Went Wrong ...." and discuss your visions of "International Diplomacy: Better Relations Between Peoples Through Mass Death and Destruction" with the local population (that is, if they don't do us all a favor and literally tear you to shreds before you get the opportunity .....)"

BTW, just an aside to anyone that might complain about English being the official language of this hear country and how it oughta be spoaken by awl, particularly them fu-rain-eruz, then one might at least want to lurn it and avoid totally butchering it (unless you are doing so intentionally, just to make a point):

When referring to the number 2, it's two (not "to")

And when needing to use the word there, make sure to use it and definitely not "their" (which is the possessive form of they)

So we have one group of people that hates us...so whats new about that...many countries hate us but few want to actually kill us...

Heck the Turks hate the Greeks, The Brits hate the Irish, The Spaniards hate the French.

If we didn't give the fanatics a target there would be no killing...

Way back when, if we'd of backed the Arabs instead of the Jews..would we have this Middle East mess?

Well since everyone on here knows that I am the model of understatement and self-restraint when it comes to speaking my mind, I didn't want to crush the illusion ..... :D
