So after I read this tread:
Negative things about this company
-very poor FS
- high rate on driver insurance, $35 per week versus for example $18 Panther
-$20 penalty if you not fax your paperwork in 24 H(I think is singular in industry)
-not enough pay for hand loading
-long deadhead miles
-$200 per year administrative charges
The goods.
- good management
- Long runs
- high miles per month
But...I may be wrong.
No,I dont think you are wrong, just a little cloudy.
Driver insurance-you are talking about occupational accidental, right? That is what the $35.00 a week charge is for here.If Panther offers this kind of insurance, maybe they get a group rate based on volume to get that lower $18.00 a month.
How often do we unload a cargo van? It is sounding like we are a ups driver now,or better yet,a lumper. Is it that much freight to be concerned with anyway?
Long deadhead miles-you are given the option to accept or refuse the load So if you have alot of deadhead miles, it may be partially youre fault to begin with.I refuse a load or two because of the deadhead miles.
$200.00 per year administrative charges-I cant say I agree with that one, either. But, I do not know what all of that includes. As of yet, anyway.
