I'm just an old chubby truck driver but this is my take on it. We live in a democracy where we have a right to our own opinion. I have a profound respect for the right of anyone to believe what ever he or she wants to believe. My recent experience with liberals is that if my opinion differs from thiers then, I don't have a right to my opinion. I am being counterproductive because I don't agree with them so I'm wrong and loose that right. I will admit that there are folks on both sides of the issues that are of that point of view but since I'm conservative my experience is with liberals. I'm afraid that having conservative views does not make me pond scum nor do liberal views make you an idiot. To my way of thinking, you liberal folks are misguided but have a right to your views. I am eternally grateful that you are going to save me from myself and my point of view but I prefer to make my own choices.
Frankly, I think we deserved to loose. The Democrats fielded a died in the wool liberal and we fielded a luke warm moderate to liberal Republican. If you are going to vote for a liberal you might as well vote for the real thing. I'm really tired of choosing between two poor choices. Disclaimer
