Since no one has all of the details it is not the wisest thing for me to try and interpret what he meant, but here goes. 1000 mile load paying $1,200.00 driver "A" gets $250.00. Driver "B" gets $250.00. Total pay to drivers $500.00 that comes to around 41.6%. Again I ask where is the low pay IF...

IF he was on a 40/60 split then I still think that part of the pay is average. 20% of $1.20 is 24 cents 20% of $1.40 is 28 cents 20% of $1.45 is 29 cents Where is the low pay?

25 to 30 cents all paid miles is in line with with pay for the paid miles part, But Pelicn said you need to know about the empty move and deadhead miles. Also what the pay is for the other things like detention, stop-off, border crossing, hand unload, etc.

I don't care how the money is broken down, it's the amount that goes to the truck that matters. I agree with Leo 61% of $2.00 is not enough. But I disagree with Leo about what the company makes, if the contract calls for me to get 61%, I want what the end customer paid. I don't like it going...

I don't really want a job at the IRS, but would like to know what the break down is for loaded miles. That would show a little more. Some people drive home after a few days out and others don't have a place they call home. I agree that the bottom line is pay per mile (all miles) is the bottom...

I'm not knocking one Company or the other, both have room for improvement. But If we are talking about money, then you have to look at the picture, the whole picture. That can only be done by looking at the average that you do for the company you are with, compared to what a truck of similar...
