    Gingrich vs. Romney

Rlent, Just wondering about the GOP and their need to reach back to "better and simpler" times of the Reagan era, did you by chance read Libertarian and Conservative by John Silveira?

    Definitely weighed all thoughts

BUT ovm, unless he has the van checked out before the purchase (properly), even if he enlists the services of Dr A. it is far different than buying a new van as you did and knowing what the thing went though in its past.

    Lets hear everones

When you thought American idle was already part of American's outhouse pit, they select one of the premiere idiots to be a judge? Seriously?

Why Do You Have To Have A CDL To Drive A Cargo Van With No Hazmat On Board ?

You want to know why? Get into the insurance business and learn what actuaries do. The insurance company tells the carrier if they want to lower their risks, they need to have CDL holders in every vehicle that they have in the fleet. Risks equal costs. It is the idea that the training to...

    New HOS Rules are out

Cheri, I have to disagree. The 30 minutes isn't a deal breaker and the companies need to deal with it if they want to stay legal. It doesn't look as bad as it many make it out as, the only real issue seems to be this night time crap for those who drive and have their sleep setup for night work...

Preserving your mental/emotional well-being on the road

Not really all that true. Most who have to get out of their trucks seem to be more anti-social than those who make the effort to stay in the truck. As for the subject at hand, outside the ARI commercial, I agree with Phil.

    New Paul Thread

So I understand what you are getting at, ... but ever project had a reason and there were people who lobbied congress for the funding, right? AND I'm wondering if we are in japan for obvious reasons, where's China (or the Russians) setup to do the same thing?

    The new breed of hero

I would agree with the first one but what about 1990 when we didn't have those cameras, the same issues we have with cops today are the same we have had for the past 70 years - only the camera brings a bit more tools on our part to stop some of it.

    New Paul Thread

Military men seem to think that it is great to come up with an idea, pay for the development of the idea and then pay for the product produced because their freinds are working for those companies who can do all that work and make all that money. If you look at how the system works from the...

    New Paul Thread

Well I would agree with you 20 years ago but as of today, I am reading how the CIA and the DoD are working closer now than they ever have been with intel issues. Some critics are worried that the line will be blurred too much where the CIA or the military will be used to spy domestically based...

    New Paul Thread

Why should we even consider returning to Iraq, they are the ones who don't want us there so if the country falls, it isn't our problem. Afghanistan is a different story, we were warned and the country butts up against two countries which one of them we made our enemy and the other we act as if...

    New Paul Thread

I don't know if that would be true, seeing our expenditures do include the "winning of hearts and minds". Take Iraq for example, we built all kinds of things and then we just frickn' left the country. We didn't tell them "we're going to stay" or "we're taking over the oil fields to pay for...

    your APU input please

Hey no problem, even some of the surplus companies have the radiators for under 100. I think the model that I need is one from a Bobcat. I should have taken pictures of the work we did, the valves I got from eBay and tested them at 1000 psi (they are rated for 2000 psi). I was thinking about...

    And away we go

Well here is the thing, I don't care. See Layout, it is their problem. They have used our tax money to build their country up and they, like Germany, can afford the unification of their own country no matter what. It will happen, one of two ways and I don't see a reason what we are continue to...

    your APU input please

What? Both of mine have them, they are cheap, I think the replacement cost was something like $175. if you need one, it isn't hard to put on. Most of the engines use a 1 or a 1 1/4 inch hose and routing the hose to the radiator is nothing. There isn't one APU out on the market that is...

    New Paul Thread

I think there is a difference between military spending and defense spending. If this is true, then I can see cutting military spending by 60% without impacting defense. If we are talking about defense spending, I can see a 40% reduction by recalling most of the troops out of SK, Germany and...

    your APU input please

Sorry, I will try to draw something up and post it. BUT until then, here is what I wanted. I wanted to have both systems to operate independently but have the option to have the APU heat the truck and fuel tanks if I needed to. I have two lines from the APU to the truck engine, I wanted to...

How to guarantee Ron Paul won't run 3rd party

I have to add something else to that thought. Seeing the tea party people have been slammed by the republicans a few times, this latest round of "we aren't going along with the dems" has put a lot of people on the defensive over the unemployment extension, etc. ... So I'm wondering how many of...

    The new breed of hero

Heroes are not made. Although the police and firefighters have a hard job, they are not the only ones who support their communities and prevent people or property from being destroyed or hurt. Yes those who rush into a burning building are heroes but they may be a neighbor or just a guy...
