Easy, I'm not a Mod, but let me take a stab at this thing about the 'squares'. I believe they come when you get a positive 'reputation' on your posts.. that little cloud icon thingy.. and after a certain length of time, I believe they drift off.. so I think if, say you had lots of comments...
Yesteryear blocked the road with her big rig, and climbed out with her black pumps, pressed shirt, and freshly washed hair, and demanded the bird be given back, as there was just enough for Wellarmed, Doug, and the Yesteryears.
Welcome back Leo, good to see you.. hope you hang around! Two great guys back in two days! What will tomorrow bring?
Anyway, wow, that sounds like you guys have to be mathmeticians to keep up with that IFTA stuff! So glad it's not applicable to us!
If the driver takes the mileage deduction, what does the owner of the vehicle get to claim as his expenses in providing the vehicle? Doesn't the standard mileage deduction take into account more than just the fuel, which is all the driver is paying for?
Sorry, this driver has not even stated...
Why not offer part-time weekend services to an already existing courier company? I think it would be difficult to get and keep customers who you were only available to on the weekends.
I guess it's the same way with the US hazmat endorsement, it has to attach to a CDL, which is why most carriers require CDLs even for CVs. Here hazmat certification is separate from the CDL or driver's license.
Welcome back Greg! Good to see you again! Hope all is well with you, that you had a nice vacation from EO, and that you're here to stay!
Lassie Come Home, huh? hehe
Ok, let's put our detective trench coats on and figure out... who knows where Greg lives.. hmmmmmmm.. anyway, glad it worked...
Well I guess you LS people don't whine too much, don't hear from you often :)
Now if Greg would come back..
You'd have enough to have a LS Carrier Forum here..
Yes, VERY disappointing turnout.
Guess we can't complain if we don't complain.
There turned out to be great media coverage, more media than protesters! How pathetic is THAT?

Back when fuel prices were outrageous, there was (lots of) discussion from people who were on a fixed fsc vs people who were not. I'm not sure how that 'fixed' fsc worked.. was it a contract with one fixed rate? Or did it change every week/month? If it was one fixed rate, what happened to those...
Yes, that's pretty scary to think someone that crazy is out and about in the middle of the night with bolt cutters and matches, and enough knowledge to know which trucks are carrying flammable hazmat. Not only putting the driver of that truck in danger, but all the other trucks parked along with...
I had always wondered about that too. Not that it matters to me whatsoever, but again just curious ;/
Here we get an air brake endorsement, but I wasn't sure if that endorsement could be added to ANY license, or just to particular ones. ie wasn't sure if you wanted to get that endorsement, if...
Howcome it appears we don't have members with Landstar? Are y'all choosing to be anonymous, are y'all too busy running to be posting on EO, or aren't they any? They're not even represented on the Carrier Forums. Just curious....
I also read it as a promo piece for getting into trucking. Right at the beginning, it says while everyone is downsizing and struggling in the economy, the trucking industry is flourishing.
A promo piece to say hey, where else can you go to school for only 3 weeks and then earn $30000/yr as a...
Isn't it possible to drive up to 26,000# GVWR straight truck without a CDL? Usually that's a 'C' unit. Sometimes a larger straight can be configured/registered differently so it becomes a 'C' unit, (less weight capacity).
The driver would not be able to haul hazmat, and would have to sign on...
