Well that's the rub. No good drivers will stay on as surface units. The only surface people left will be people "doing their time before going into w/g" and the others will be people just desperate for a job or a place to live. Some will provide good service, most won't.
That would be a violation of the lease agreement and would get fedex in a lawsuit. They will offer the 59.5% people 59.5% of the load regardless if it's more or less than the flat rate offer. Now thing is most offers that are 59.5 % are less than what the flat rate will be. Only occasionally...
I wasn't on the last call but my understanding originally was that dod loads would continue to be negotiated no matter what truck it goes to. Has this changed?
Most good line-x or rhino liner shops could probably do the job. A lot of them spray things other than Bed liners often so they can handle this as well.
I'm looking hard at the carrier for my next truck. I'm interested in the stand alone version for a custom sleeper. It has a real generator instead of an inverter. It would save me a decent amount of money over a onan and a roof top a/c and be driver 1000 hour maint friendly.
Dry box eh? Could you pm me and let me know why y'all chose dry box and are sticking with it? I'm not being sarcastic. We are buying trucks and I might be over looking something but I thought t-Val was a good option.
Lol. Thought that as soon as I read it. But slap an 18' box and go cr size and it would be nice. Although Id have to go ari instead of bolt. I just like the way they look.
Western Star or Cascadia or Volvo
DD13 with DT12 or eaton autoshift for the daimlers. D13 with I-shift with the volvo. I'll only buy a class 8.
Liftgate/ thermo king reefer
I'm happy with my 200 gallons of fuel
Twin screw or at minimum lift axle
I have 2 big toolboxes on my truck. I could...
Or evap coils outside too. Don't forget the outside coils let out heat and cool the gas back down. If it's covered in mud and road crud it can't release the heat....
