    2007 Daytime Running Lights

Yeah a switch inline might be a good idea if you need to re-enable them. The ecu rack is essentially behind the pass side fuse/relay center where you were pulling fuses and relays. The DRL module is on the top rh above the fuses. You will need to remove the rh speaker cover, the top and rh side...

    Ud 1800

I know your overflow tank looks different but does it have the same type of cap with two hoses attached to it?

    2007 Daytime Running Lights

Ill have to look at the schematic tomorrow, i spent a little time looking at the napkin drawing I attached but its missing quite a bit of data. . You may end up removing a wire from the DRL module. Ill let you know what I come up with.

    Ud 1800

Well your'e in uncharted terrority here, you essentially have a "frankenstein" engine. Not that this is a bad thing, I know UD has zero support for the older engines, and many guys have no choice but to buy a hino engine and swap parts over. Usually they perform the swap with a engine that was...

    Ud 1800

There are a lot of variables invovolved here. The egr, egr cooling system, turbo and turbo control, water pump, intake are all different from the 16 enging to the 2007. The whole fuel system is different pump, rail, lines. Something in the back of my head is telling me the water pumps on the ud...

    Ud 1800

So you installed a used, 2016 model year JO8 Hino engine in your 2007 UD 1800. You installed your old fuel pump and injectors. The engine only has 20,000 total miles on it and other than the pushing coolant out of the overflow at shutdown the truck runs good?

    Ud 1800

First off is this a JO5 4 cylinder or a J08 6 cylinder? When you say you installed a 2016 engine in your 2007 UD do you mean exactly that? Was this a new shortblock engine purchased from a Hino dealer, or was this a engine removed from another truck and installed in your UD? I need to know...

    2007 Daytime Running Lights

Just an FYI, In DRL mode there is only 9volts supplied to the low beams via a PWM signal. Yet in regular low beam mode there is full batt voltage suppled to the low beams.

    2007 Daytime Running Lights

Thats kind of an odd request for me, usually people want them fixed not disabled. Either way I looked into it a little. That is an extremly busy circuit. The DRL has many inputs/outputs/circuit protection devises and a few diodes. Just exactly how the circuit is configured will depend on how...

    Question about Hino 338

FLUSH is the spec, If you have juice brakes just tap them (sensors) lightly on the back of the sensor with a rubber mallet until they bottom out. If your rotors get rusty you can remove the two bolts for the sensor bracket and clean the tone ring with a wire-brush and a pick. This will buy you...

    Another Hino Throttle Problem

OEM Hino turbo's are the only option as far as im concerned. Keep the receipt and buy from a dealer. Did you ever inspect the intake throttle valve for play?

    What is this?

I installed a brandy new atomizer on a 2013 with 110k today, after I installed the atomizer I commanded the fuel pump on and monitored fuel pressure.. It was roughly 94 psi, I then commanded a manual re-gen on and recorded fuel pressure. During the re-gen it got to 98 psi at its highest point...

    Hino cracked cam housing

$1900 at my shop. Are you 100% the timing is correct? Was the head resufaced at a machine shop? Finally do you know id the rear idler gear was removed from the head? I have never seen one crack, id be digging a little deeper to find the root cause before I threw a $4800 cam housing in there.

    Fixing the rare broken mantle

Good post, as a dealer I could probably not convince my boss to do this, but as an owner its nice to have a second option if your mantle breaks. We replaced one at the shop a few weeks back 3-4k I think for a brandy new one.

    2010 Hino 258 p0087

Yeah I'm not sure, maybe they did not want the engine to start while they were checking pressure? The truck was a no start, so your guess is as good as mine there. Maybe if he suspected a blown tip off an injector he wanted to disable all 6 and see if the fuel pressure went up? You can check...

    2010 Hino 258 p0087

Edit... I stand corrected, expected value for common rail pressue at idle is 5076psi at 750 rpm. So....... the dealer states you have 5000psi @ idle. Imho you then should have a good stream of fuel at the 17mm line on the top of the common rail. Do you?

    2010 Hino 258 p0087

5000psi is low to me usually I see 8000psi at idle. The system at full flow makes 21,000- 22,000 psi. If you have no fuel flow to the common rail you could have brand new injectors, and it still will not run. Taking a half hour to perform those procedures I listed will narrow your issue. You...

    J08 oil in coolant issue.

Yeah sounds like you have your bases covered. You could pressure test the oil cooler but.... if its also putting compression in the cooling system thats not where your issue is. Sounds like your on the right path.

Im out of town this week, I like to ask questions first so here goes. 1. What were the set conditions, loaded, unloaded, up a hill, on the highway? 2. You stated you replaced the SCV.. they have changed the part number a few times and you 100% positive you installed the correct SCV? 3. Please...
